your problem is a bit vague, what route did you get it on, what stock. What are the specs of your computer? Have to verified the game cache in steam?

And just to confirm, nothing has yet been installed third party wise?
Also, is it actually an SBHH or one of those cryptic messages?

What is your game resolution? I found having it too small caused SBHH's.

I cannot really see that making a difference to be honest Joe.
The reason I asked earlier about cryptic messages was because sometimes it is because of other parts of the install, for instance .net or physx. Although any of these messages haven't appeared, I don't see no harm in trying to reinstall either of them, located at Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Install
Also, you verified the files but did you actually do the simple "clear cache" as well? That seems to be the golden fix.

It's the location on 64-bit, but that should not be a problem in itself.

If the system as a audigy enabled soundcard installed with it, that could be ai ssue why its SBHH before it gets anywhere, hence firetraps question.
