Your system looks near identical to mine Joe, I put my old RW disc in and ran install, then waited hours for the rest to down load, I did get some net frame error or something to begin with but that sorted itself out, My files are installed into X 86 as well. Are you running as admiistrator you must do this with X86 programs??

No, the X86 bit in the folder name is just to denote that the folder is for 32 bit applications, it's not essential that the programs be run under an administrative account. Admittedly some programs insist on administrative rights, but that holds for 64 bit apps too.
Installers, and any programs that change system settings need to be run as an administrator but the majority of applications don't do this so they run quite happily under a Standard User account (Vista/Win7) or Limited User account (XP)
It's considered a wise move to install out of the C:\Program Files folders anyway, to eliminate as far as possible any 'Windows System File Protection' routines causing problems.

Try switching from using the Analogue output to using the digital output on the card.

1) right click speaker icon on taskbar

2) click on playback devices

3) select the digital output option for running railworks

This works for me as I have the same issue.

*Edit: you will need to have an optical cable connected from the soundcard to a compatible device however.
