Re: Voyager Advanced
It'll cost me about three quid and although I use Raildriver, JT don't know if the new one will work with it.
But they've said if it doesn't, they will give a full refund.
So I guess that will stand for anyone else who uses Raildriver and find it doesn't work anymore.
( I'm hoping it will work, but we'll just have to wait and see.
)
Top notch firm JT.

Re: Voyager Advanced
Can't wait for this. Though I would like to know if the random failures can be preset by the user. For example a slider bar like on Simsig to set the likelihood of something occurring. As I don't want something going wrong every time!
Over to you Simon!

I would assume that one can predefine them whilst writing the scenario.DescendingSadly wrote:Can't wait for this. Though I would like to know if the random failures can be preset by the user. Re: Voyager Advanced
I really cannot wait - just 1 week!

I asked this on Just Trains' Facebook page and Alex says "only if I ask nicely"...msey0002 wrote:I would assume that one can predefine them whilst writing the scenario.DescendingSadly wrote:Can't wait for this. Re: Voyager Advanced
Has JT said anything about the new voyager working in scenarios which uses the older version?
Re: Voyager Advanced
Yes.
(source: http://www.justtrains.net/newsDetail.asp?newsid=2360)All scenarios packs which currently use the existing Voyager will work with the Voyager Advanced once it has been released.
I'm not fat - I'm easy to see

Re: Voyager Advanced
Not my era of interest at all, however always happy to tip my hat to some clever scripting and more realistic simulation features that the core game seems to have no interest in creating - well done to the team behind this, keep up the good work.
Re: Voyager Advanced
In the first video i can see a graphical issue. At 15 or so seconds into the video the head light cover appears from no where.

Re: Voyager Advanced
i think it's too niche for RSC, but perfect for the likes of Just Trains. you generally don't see core devs creating niche stuff in any game, that's always up to modders and 3rd party devs.karma99 wrote:the core game seems to have no interest in creating

Re: Voyager Advanced
Not sure I would consider realism in a simulation as "niche". In a game, I would totally agree (hence my use of the word) however RW is not billed as a game but as "the most realistic train simulator in the world".andynwt wrote:i think it's too niche for RSC, but perfect for the likes of Just Trains. you generally don't see core devs creating niche stuff in any game, that's always up to modders and 3rd party devs.karma99 wrote:the core game seems to have no interest in creating
The problems come when those of us who do want to add realism hit brick walls because the core game is limited in the available functions because adding more are not important to the developers - which brings me full circle back to my respect for this team despite the core game not helping anyone to develop along these lines of realism.

Yes, I agree completely, Pete, would love to see more of this stuff.karma99 wrote:Not my era of interest at all, however always happy to tip my hat to some clever scripting and more realistic simulation features that the core game seems to have no interest in creating - well done to the team behind this, keep up the good work.
