I am having trouble with the Meshtools/RSC Class 50. Only the wipers work, nothing else functions, I can not move the train. Has anyone else seen this error or knows how to fix it as I can seem to find the problem.

Does this have a function start up routine/master key?

Hi,
I think I found this after installing it.
Naturally jumped right in ... and it wouldn't go!

In the Manual it says
Turning the engine On. Move the Reverser to ‘E.O.’ and then press the engine
startup button.
You must be using expert controls.

If in doubt - find the manual folder in your RW folder and find Class 50.
I'm sure this is your problem.

Regards,
Kernow2

Have you read the manual?

You need to the move the reverser on the dashboard and get the AWS/Reset sound before you can move her.

I know she works...i'm sitting here running a double with it!

Moved the reverser out of off? use the cab control, not the F4 one.

Im running expert control, and have read the manual and verified the cache. The controls do not respond to key presses (I dont use the F4 HUD) so I can't move the reverser to eo, even when I click it and move it to eo and try to start the engine it still doesn't work

I had a problem with the Oovee 156 and the Woodhead 76 similar to you, they would not move. I found that they needed to be in the expert drive mode and then press the buttons on the keyboard, Q - W - A, and do it slowly. It works every time for me,

A thought: are you using a 3rd-party repaint, and/or did you have the old one installed? if the game is trying to load a hybrid of both models then it's going to go nowhere.

I dont have any reskins or the old version installed. It would appear to be a lua problem as i have just run logmate and it came up with these errors:
[Content 21:21:40] Trace cScriptComponent.cpp : 193 = Error creating instance of script c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\MichaelWhiteley\Class 50\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class 50\Default\Engine\Class50Engine.lua

I have seen this error before on other stock but I dont know what I did to fix it

Well, firstly, do those files exist? that's not a lua problem, that's a blueprint-can't-find-file problem.

Howdy
You have to move the reverser with the mouse, then on come the lights and buzzers and away.

The files do exist, including the include luas. I have the checked the syntax and it is all ok (I checked using LuaEdit). A lua problem/file problem would explain why the keys on the keyboard dont control the train.

Hi, keys on keyboard not controlling train is caused by the keymapper.bin in KUJU/Railsimulator/railsimulatorcore/inputmappers. You probably need to delete the blueprint in this folder or the ones above - also these locos need driving in expert mode! If you are missing the keymapper, a verify cache should put it back.

I have verified the cache 3 times, and I have forced steam to download the content again. It's not the key mapper as that is all present and correct.

Ok, what does logmate say in the script manager tab?
