Hi Everyone, This is my first post - sorry it’s a problem.
Is anyone else having an issue with the 390 Virgin Trains repaint on the RSC Settle to Carlisle line? The 390 standard liveries are fine and the VT livery is fine on all other routes but as soon as try to place the VT 390 onto the S&C I get screen corruption in the form of coloured triangles across the screen. I have tried with and without the kuju folder selected, with and without TSX, reinstalling (the livery), copying one of the other liveries and pasting the VT over the top. Any ideas gratefully received I Have Windows 7 64; i7 920; 12Gb Ram; ATI 4800

Re: Class 390 Virgin Trains & RSC S&C Issue
All fine on my end. It sounds like you may need to download the latest version of Horgy's Virgin Trains paint however. The first version of the file no longer works with the rain and headlight effects, which were introduced with the last update to the class 390 DLC.
The latest version of the repaint should relieve your problems.
p.s. you may find this happens with all 3rd party repaints of DLC after they are upgraded to feature the new additional effects of TS2012, at least until all the repaint authors upgrade their work to resolve compatibility problems.
Happy simming!

Cheers Chris,
I honestly thought I had the latest version
as I had moved onto uninstalling the graphics card drivers but must have missed something. It’s all sorted now.

Just as a side note for the future. I have found that sometimes if your settings are too high Railworks doesn't like it and so throws out random triangles. Turn down the settings and it works - apparently RSC are working on fixing this when I told them, but that was before christmas!

I thought the 390 was electrified and the S&C is not?

"Moving half of West London would be a ridiculous amount of work."
Re: Class 390 Virgin Trains & RSC S&C Issue
Thanks Jason,
While I was trying to fix the issue, I uninstalled the latest graphics card driver and used the M$ one that Windows 7 installed originally. The whole route disintegrated onto triangles. Still its all ok now.
I’m begging to get the feeling RSC concentrate on the next thing, and don’t seem to worry about fixing bugs. I am impressed that the base program is updated FOC through steam and understand that this has to be balanced by the income from DLC, but I am convinced that it could be coded better. I have read on the forums that you need a balanced system but that program is processor intensive. I wouldn’t mind if it was using all the power that my CPU has to give, but I can happily recode a HD Video to mp4 while running Rail Simulator without any loss of frame rate.

If you set up the 390 consist without a driver t should be okay.
