I've still got the Introduction scenario but my 4CIG has a blur of colours instead of a view out of the cab windows and none of the keyboard controls work.

450 works flawlessly, and framerates are good.

The core route + 450 EMU update came in at around 260Mb on my pc.

The 4Cig you speak of, it could be a repaint (which isnt core to the 4Cig DLC) causing errors? But as the keyboard controls are not responding, i'd say you need to press the 'clear cache' button on the railworks launcher.

Is it a repainted 4CIG or an original? If its a repaint, it may be the TS2012 cab problem (repaints need to be updated to use the new cab).

Just finished a bit of halfway haslemere to test the route, no problems with frame rate here. there is the odd jerkiness in built up areas but that is to be expected and those areas are now running a little bit smoother on my machine. The 350 has also lost the driver-guard buzzer it seems, apart from that the acceleration is fixed.

Just took the 4cig out for a run. Is it me or have they updated the sounds too?

I grew up in Tonbridge and I must of ridden these trains hundreds of times. The sounds are spooky good. The motor whine brings it all back and the chugging compressor its just right.

Performance wise no issues

Well I've done my back up and gone on line, as no one bothered to answer my simple question.
Nowt special there for me, just the usual boring third rail stuff.
And then I go and get a SPAD with the 450, now it's a flyer.

Okay, so my 344MB "surprise" just arrived, although I've yet to have a play with it so can't personally comment as to whether it's good, bad or ugly.

Why is it though that RSC's comms about what each update contains is so sporadic? I appreciate this is something of a rhetorical question, but it's just yet another frustration of dealing with them.

AFAIK it's the original. I will try running it again later and see if I get any difference. I did reinstall the Armstrong Powerhouse soundpack before using the unit though, although I fail to see how that could affect the cab view...

Just gave this a run, no decrease in performance for me but no noticeable increase either (it was running fine for me before anyway so I'm not bothered!)

4CIG is fine here: controls work, no glitches, rain on windscreen etc. And it's nice to see the 450 accelerate properly, 35mph by the time the end of your train leaves the platform seems about right.

Redownloaded and installed the AP pack and it's running fine now. Could have been that either I had an outdated version of the pack or that Avast messed with the install. Either way all good now.

The Portsmouth Direct line was upgraded last night, however.

Once re-downloading the packs from AP, I went to a night mode, but black screen, with white lines, and affects of chinmleys,
ran one in day mode, with the snow, very bright but see the train and what you normally see, i think this is normal.

What do i do please? I have cleared the blue cache.

Hi,
I have an interesting problem after the upgrade. All the graphics are washed out, very pale. Up in the sky there is a sign with a yellow and black diagonal border saying that there is a missing texture.
I tested a few scenerios with the same result. I noticed that the" End of days" scenerio is now running in the daylight. Last time I ran this one it was night. The time is set for 2200 Hrs.
I checked with RW Tools and there are some decals missing on certain tiles but nothing else.
I have verified the Game Cache twice. PDL is the only Route effected.
Does anybody have any ideas how to correct this?

Forgive me for being very surprised at that, but I am. Overall, more was actually taken out than put in and given the lights are not shadow casting, there should not have been an hit. I found that my performance was identical, but we all know how different it can be of course.
Think I'll have to do a verify cache, as the connection dropped for a short while during downloading (seems the router didn't like Steam updating Railworks and Windows updating Silverlight at the same time), so something may have gotten messed up...

Anyone tried the Chop and Change Scenario. When I got to Guildford and asked to split the train in half all hell broke lose. There was another train on the other track and when I hit the uncouple button both my train and it went flying through the air and the derailment error came up. I shall go and clear the cache and give it another go.
