Hi,

I had another look at this scenario, I cleared the Cache and then run the PDL.
The problem has gone and the Cab view is as it should be.
Thank you for the reply.

Kind regards
Mike.

Just tried to run the scenario;-

"Hightail to the harbour"

It looks as if the Cab window has cracked from the top right of the window radiating out towards the middle of the Cab window in a fan patern.
Has anyone experienced this?

Kind regards
Mike

I have started running this on mine and the cabview is fine in both TSX and legacy mode.
Sounds like that's where the raindrops should be appearing, i.e. from RH top at about 45 degrees over the window.

I haven't actually looked, but I would suspect not. The files concerned will almost certainly be "protected" so can't be overwritten with a RWP I'm afraid.

I've tried changing them using the tutorial on Mike Simpson's site however it doesn't seem to work as my tracks haven't changed. Also it could be made a sticky for future reference.

I guess it was only a question of WHEN not IF before Steam messed up !! My lad had a nightmare getting Football Manager to work before we discovered that Threatfire was the problem ! As for me and TS2012 it has mostly gone ok,with the odd hesitation. However with this update Steam hangs on the last few Kb's and refuses point blank to complete ! I have verified the game cache, uninstalled and re-installed but it still suspends at the last knockings and therefore refuses to load TS2012. Any other suggestions I may not have tried ??

Hi,

I had an occasion this week to verify 2012 using "Steam" and it took an age. That was my first experience of steam and left me for that moment wondering if my system had failed.
Exercised a bit of patience and all turn out well in the end.
Kind regards
Mike.

Interesting that nobody has commented on the effect, good or bad, that RSC's update from Saturday(?) night had. Seemed to address the missing sky tex and the time of day settings...

Can confirm the fix issued by RSC a few days ago has fixed the whiteout issue for me. Summer season now works fine.

Didn't have a problem verifying Steam cache. It was slowish, completed but still left me with the last few Kb's to complete and still suspends ! I have also made all steam files read/write,still no joy.

It's particularly interesting that it's already been discussed AND a fix issued by RSC...

Is there not a file I can download to change the track instead of having to go through the process myself? I know its lazy but worth a try..

Sorry but there isn't but it's not that hard. Took me and hour and a half to replace all the tracks including the tunnels tracks and adding SE to the route. Now just working on fixing all the floating tracks and other odds and ends.

"Not that hard" is another man's splitting the atom, regardless of DavidVI's intention. I am a relative power user as far as PCs are concerned but tracks in RW? I might as well be trying to split the atom myself.

If it wasn't for one kind user here who contacted me via PM to share his work, I'd still be stuck with the ugly default PDL tracks.

I have just tried this and well, did what it said and play the route and no tracks are showing :/ (Cleared the cache before first load) looks like i'll have to put up with the Default track :(

Hi Dave, did you also tick the asset provider for the track in the route editor?
