Class 76 in two pieces!
Last weekend I bought the highly rated Woodhead route and Class 77 pack. For the first two days I was unable to load the route at all, but since moving all the scenarios to a separate back-up folder, I can now load the route. The problem now is that the Class 76 loads onto a track in two pieces and is listed in the left hand drop-down menu as Class76_Bodywork and Class 76_Bogie &Wheels. The Black 08 loads normally and so does the Class 77 from the separate RSC Class 77 Pack.
Railworks/Assets/RSC/Woodhead/Railvehicles/Electric/Class76 has 164 files in 19 folders.
I have taken the advice of RailSimulator's help desk and have Verified my game cache(twice!) and the subsequent message from "steam" was that there were no files missing. I have also cleared the cache using the Railworks tools and docs.
Does anyone else have two piece 76s or found a way to solve this problem? It reminds me of the Triang model produced as CKD (completely knocked down). Showing my age, now!
Any help very much appreciated,
Regards, Malcolm (malcolmfhill)

The Class 76 does load in two pieces. Your not seeing things. Add the bogies first then the bodywork. I saw a tutorial for it somewhere in the manuals.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it

RTFM.
It's explained in the manual, but essentially you place down two bogies and then the bodywork to create a consist just for the locomotive itself! That's why the HUD makes it look like your treble heading, as the locomotive itself is made of three stock pieces!

Welcome to the e-flatpack. Now why do I still have a buffer left over?

Why is it even in two pieces? Is there really that much of a graphical difference between it and having it all in one model?

Possibly to more accurately simulate the physics of the real life class 76. The is an unusual arrangement, with the couplers mounted on the bogies, which are linked together.

Does the seperate bogeys mean we can do things like this? http://www.flickr.com/photos/55232200@N ... hotostream or is that not possible in game yet, would make shunting at Doncaster Works rather fun(and slightly dangerous)...

You can certainly drag one bogie around, but the second one needs the body to connect the two together.faedundee2 wrote:Does the seperate bogeys mean we can do things like this? http://www.flickr.com/photos/55232200@N ... hotostream or is that not possible in game yet, would make shunting at Doncaster Works rather fun(and slightly dangerous)...
