Mully has a class 66 in Stobart Rail colours but, are the 2 engines still seen on the rails today? (Apart from the derailed 3rd engine). I was under the impression the derailed loco was in storage and one of the three was returned to porterbrook.

I can only find very little information on this as I was planning a WCML-N scenario using the tesco train.

cheers

chris

66411 and 66414 are the others, it looks likes they have been reallocated for use with Freightliner.

Does anyone know the year that they were reallocated?

I do believe it was around the middle/end of last year, but don't quote me! For the record, 66411 has gone to Poland for Freightliner.

66411 - In Poland in freightliner powerhaul livery.
66414 - Running around in a bare blue livery, photo on my Flickr site (link in sig.)
It is expected most, if not all, 66/4's freightliner own will be used in Poland.
Both belong to freightliner.

As for 66048, being used for spares at Toton, will be scrapped when time is right.

HTH,

James :turn-l:

EDIT: Both reallocated around October 2011 at freightliner's Crewe Basford Hall.

Afraid so Steve! It was involved in the crash/derailment in Scotland a few years back while working the stobart train. Damaged beyond repair.

Things seem to have changed on the Polish front with Freightliner PL reportedly up for sale due to the parent company having to sell assets due to filing for bankruptcy. 66414 is currently at Eastleigh while 66412(the former malcom rail black one) is still at York works after its move to Poland was curtailed at Immingham.

Suggest we need to be a bit careful here talking about insolvent companies. Equity investor Arcapita Bank was a shareholder and is a known and reported case, but let's not start any rumours eh.
