Royal Train stock?
Guys,
I've tried searching regarding the following query without success.
Does anyone know where to obtain the Royal Train stock? I'm unable to find it anywhere. I've tried running "A Right Royal Do" scenario for WCML North, however the stock between the top 'n' tail 67s is invisible. I seen a screenshot of this scenario however and the stock was blue & grey Mk3s, not the Royal Train stock, which has left me slightly miffed.
Any help is appreciated guys.
Ta.

Re: Royal Train stock?
Hi
The stock used for this scenario was these reskins of the WCML Mark 3a coaches
. I realise that this is not accurate Royal Train coaching stock, but there were a limited amount of a choices for creators of the WCML scenario pack and these seemed the most appropriate to me.

Thanks for the reply, although I have these downloaded and installed already and they are invisible in the scenario. Any idea as to what the problem could be?

When you installed them, did you follow the instructions and copy the relevant files over?

Re: Royal Train stock?
If you have them installed via the freeware pack, the .goepcdx files are not copied over for some reason (or at least they weren't for me). Copying the appropriate files over manually is dead easy and instructions are indeed given in the above referenced download.

When you install the freeware packs I think you have to make sure you right click and install as admin to make sure it copys all the files across.

Re: Royal Train stock?
The freeware packs are MSI installers so run with admin rights automatically. A Right Royal do is part of the WCML-N scenario pack I think. When you installed the scenario pack have you also made sure all the rolling stock packs are up-to-date.
There is a program installed to your desktop which will check this for you called "Update Packs"
You might have an old pack installed and it could therefore be missing some rolling stock you need.

Re: Royal Train stock?
Cheers guys, that's it sorted now. I did indeed install it via the freeware pack and wasn't aware that the .goepcdx files weren't copied over accordingly. I assumed (wrongly) that it installed the lot.
Speaking of the Royal Train, I came across screenshots of the royal stock on another website (Railworks Repaints), although I don't know if that project is still alive or dead in the water. Hopefully the former.

I have just tried swapping over the installed rollingstock in the "A right royal do" scenario to the above mentioned set. When I then tried to run the scenario again the screen went black and froze after it had loaded. The only way I could restart it again was with Cntrl/Alt/Del. After swapping back to the original stock again all was well. Just wondered if anyone else has tried these?
Cheers,
Antony.

Re: Royal Train stock?
I've tried to install the Royal pack with no success, including installing the geopdx files from the DT Mk2s.
Judging by the comments below th edownload on trainsim, others have too though no response from the original painter.
Any successful installers out there and how did you do it?

Re: Royal Train stock?
Yes as you say judging by the comments posted, these been no such luck in getting it sorted. Perhaps some kind person may have a go and do a new repaint and post it here for us? I think a repaint like that would give a real right Royal feel to this scenario.

Re: Royal Train stock?
Hi that repaint was for the original mk2e coaches if you have them, - won't work with the later steam / DT version. Tried ages ago and quite disappointed it didn't work, as very nice paints.

Re: Royal Train stock?
There are these in the UKTS Library, not royal I know, but they might make a good alternative.
