Just placed my order but the Paypal "Returning to Gtrax" is displaying a page not found error at present.

Hopefully the link to download will arrive shortly, as described on the order page.

As I said before:
The download delivery system currently has some problems which we try to fix asap. This will delay the delivery of the download link to you.
Please excuse the inconvenience.

Ladies and Gentelman,
It works now! 8)

I quote what Rick Grout wrote on RWA:
ricksan wrote:OK, automated link messaging seems to work now.

I manually e-mailed the link to everyone who had previously gotten a 404.

Computers are wonderful. They do exactly what you tell them to.....even when you tell them to do the wrong thing!

My apologies for the delay and any inconvenience. Enjoy the route.
If you still have any problems, please email support"at"gtraxsims.com
Enjoy.

Got the link and now downloading - but very slow, less than 50 kb/s for a 455Mb file so it looks like it will take a while to grab. Guess I'd better temporarily install Getright to chunk it.

Free Download Manager ( yes, that's what it's actually called ), Vern. And yea even with chunks it took a while.

Ahh good now only 3 hours and ten minutes to go according to firefox....the wait will be worth it as this 3ft equipment will come in very handy longer NG routes, good as the little Kevmt tanks are they are a little short legged for extended running.

I'm getting about 200kb/s now with Getright so around 40 minutes. Maybe something G-trax need to look at or possibly have a CD ordering option?

Oh no! Problems over problems.
Sorry guys.

That program seems to be the only solution to the download problems as of now.
It also works for the guys on RWA: http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewt ... 7&start=45

Wow, that video does show some wonderful route building. Great to see some more NG in Railworks :)

This and S&C... More things to delay my own work!

I too am having serious problems downloading this route - after four attempts, I still don't have it as the download terminates well short of the full zip file. In fact my zip file says that the contents are zero. the download system clearly needs testing.

I presume that the stated 12 hour deadline for downloading the route will be waived in light of these problems?

Hi Ash. you are not alone with this problem. I too have paid for not a lot.
After 10 download attempts, all stopping around the 14Mb mark, I have emailed support.
Just had this reply from "Rick".

"Sounds like the G-TraX web host's server is apparently overloaded with the initial rush of orders. Things will hopefully settle down later today.
If after the 12-hour limit expires you are still unable to download the route, please contact me again and I'll retransmit the link to you. Rick."

I have tried "Getright" with out succes. Maybe the link is locked. Will try again later.
That awesome video sold it to me.

I'll try that then Eric. Though I must say - the imposition of a mandatory 12-hour download deadline seems odd - if you've paid for something, you expect to receive it, however long it takes. :-?

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now, and wait to see what happens...

NOTE: edited, as my original wording was perhaps a little strong.

No problem with Getright here - working well for me, though slow! So far been downloading for 2 hours 5 minutes, further 59 minutes to go (perhaps)- restarted 21 times so far. 65% downloaded.

It is years since I have had to use Getright, takes me back to the days of slow, slow connections. I had forgotten what a great utility it was.

I know it might be a silly question, but those having problems with Getright, do they know how to start a d/l with it or is any help required? (ducks and runs for cover !) - serious question, not a mick take :)

Ash, Rick is a great guy and absolutely solid - I would be very surprised if he had undergone a change of personality over this  . No idea why the 12 hours, but I am certain an email to him would sort out any difficulty anyone has and certainly no need for anyone to get upset about it. A lot of payware providers with MSTS, especially in the US, have limits. An email is usually all it requires if proof of purchase is held (which is easy through Paypal).

Hi again. As Rod says, GetRite is a blast from the past for me too. Now I've remembed how to work it Ive got just over 150mb down.
Getting 186/ks with four segments running together.
Each time the download stops it will resume after the Pause button is clicked.
Looks like its a 455Mb download, so some time yet before I see it.
