I am early!


The UKTS Freeware Pack - WCML North Scenario Pack #1 is not meant to be scheduled for release until tomorrow evening and I have just uploaded it to the file library . Always the same, you spend ages waiting for a train and then 25 trains (or do I mean scenarios ) come along at once!

As it is late now the file will no doubt get approved tomorrow at some point.

This pack relied on the generosity of members and the support of the community. I never cease to be impressed by the dedication of so many people who visit these forums. Their time and effort has resulted in a fabulous pack.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who got involved in what ever way and made this pack happen. You make me proud to be part of UKTS and the Train Simming community.

Also are Very welcome Jim. Has been great to Make two of the Scenarios for the pack and to take screenshots/ Test many of the scenarios as well.

I look forward to seeing others post screens from this pack or videos.

Also look foward to the next project that comes, and will take part as long as i have the route.

Having just downloaded the manual and looked at the Teaser Video what can one say? This looks absolutely fantastic for all lovers of WCML. I can only commend and congratulate all of those involved in this project and thanks for making their skill and hard work available for us all to enjoy. Twenty five scenarios and a nice thirty nine page PDF manual for reference to boot. Also good to have it in one quick easy to install package.

If it performs as advertised, which I am sure it will, given the testing that will have been done this is going to be worth one years premium membership in its own right.

The weather forecast for the weekend is not particularly good but it certainly looks as though there will be no shortage of anything to do – too many routes, too many scenarios, too little time!

The testers have indeed been kept very busy. We believe that all scenarios work but I wouldn't be surprised if the odd problem crops up just due to the sheer number of scenarios in the pack.

Please don't hesitate to bring any issues to my attention so I can look into them.

Having had a few days booked off work - Jim graciously added me to the late beta test of the pack - I managed to run through 13 of the 25 scenarios, all i can say is that your in for a treat - some interesting paths - interesting AI's and they all have a feel of the period they depict.

Personal favourite being the Penmansheil Waltz (for obvious reasons - nice to run a Deltic at 100mph plus without the dreaded speeding flag up)

Closely followed by 1Z02 and Salkeld Parcels just for the ingenuity of the paths used as well as the atmosphere in 1Z02

Hope everybody enjoys this pack - I certainly have in the testing

Don't think I have ever been called gracious! You were a big help John and you provided much reassurance that the pack was ready for release (due to the lack of any significant problem reports ).

Just in case any of you have the Just Trains Class 67 as well as the RSC version, the pack includes 4 cloned scenarios to allow you to experience the JustTrains Class 67 if you wish. I actually prefer the JT version for the driving experience but the RSC version comes with the excellent sleeper carriages which have been put to good use on many scenarios.

Some might say that the pack was therefore 29 scenarios but I thought that was pushing it a bit

Haha very fair Same as you Jim i did prefer the JT67 versions of the scenarios as i do prefer the locomotive version.
But for both versions they are fantastic, just need to guess braking a bit better on the JT on.

Also thank you as well to all the other testers as well though and other people who donated scenarios.
