Sorted!
Yes I should have read the dialogue more closely and had the courage to do the next click. Installation now appears to have gone ok and to where I want it so looking forward to going for a drive.
Many thanks again for your help - much appreciated Jim.

WCML North - 25 free scenarios in one pack!
"This" means the WCML - NDarpor wrote:Well, if the "this" means the scenario pack, then you don't have to buy it. It's free.Redbusmatt wrote:
Is that all???
May have to go and buy this now, and buy the 156, 390 and 67!
Sorry "Darpor", couldn't find the link

If I was to purchase one add on that is used in this pack which would you reccomend?
I have the route, 86's, 325, but i'm really after getting more out of WCML-N and was looking to get the class 77's for Woodhead but have changed my mind.. Reccomendations welcome!

Very, very tricky that David. Three out of the four certainly have different but equally important merits.DavidVI wrote:If I was to purchase one add on that is used in this pack which would you reccomend?

Class 390 - If you want more from your WCML only, then I would say the 390 as this is where it belongs and cannot be used prototypically anywhere else other than the WCML at this moment. It's also well utilised in scenarios.
Class 66 and Class 156 are very important due to extensive use over much of the network.
If I didn't have any of the addons, it would be between the 66 or 156, but this is going to depend on what you want. If you want more realistic scenarios, with more prototypical consists, then get the 66. If you want a more realistic driving experience, get the Class 156, it's one of the more advanced purchases available.

Re: WCML North - 25 free scenarios in one pack!
Just an addition to Darren's excellent summary; the class 390 has been updated to feature TS2012 effects (rain, lights) but the 66 and 156 have not (yet). I believe Oovee are currently at work on an upgrade to the 156 but there is no ETA for that at the momentDarpor wrote:Very, very tricky that David. Thanks to both of you, I was considering the 390
.
I was suprised, I did think i'd get people reccomending the Class 67 as in a glance down the scenario pack manual I noticed it is used a lot!

Ah, but then we would have to go through another process of which of the two Class 67's you should purchase.DavidVI wrote:Thanks to both of you, I was considering the 390.

Re: WCML North - 25 free scenarios in one pack!
In my Getting Coal scenario I took care not to use the sleepers or mail vans included in the RSC version. The JT version of the class 67 should work for these scenarios, but I did not test them myself.nobkins wrote:Kind of but I understand your point of view. The 4 cloned scenarios that use the JT versions are there as a bonus. When the pack was being created a list of "allowed stock" was created. The idea was to allow people to use the DLC that they might have (and want to drive) without making the "allowed stock" list so long that it would restrict who could use the pack.Dave4468 wrote: I can understand that some scenarios obviously use the 67 as passing traffic or for the SLEPs, therefore they need to be there. I'm a little peeved I can't use any of the JT 67 scenarios as they still all seem to need the RSC 67. Surely one reason to clone them for the JT 67 is the fact that people who have the JT 67 won't have the RSC 67?
Or maybe I am missing the point...
The RSC 67 was in the allowed list as the sleepers are ideal for the route. The JT was not as it seemed daft to include two 67's in the list.
Once all the scenarios had been donated I cloned the scenarios where the player train used the RSC class 67 and swapped the player train to the JT version. They are effectively a bonus for those that have the JT version of the 67 AND the RSC version. I could have not cloned the scenarios at all and left it for users to do it themselves. You can still swap the sleepers out using RWTools to something else if you wish.
This is all explained in the manual and on the download page but I know that people rarely read thisI do the same thing myself. Always eager to play rather than read the manual
Hope that explains
Thanks.
Rudolf

No problem running the scenario here, can you extract the scenario in question out of the install package and check that?
