Surely you could have just read what is on the download page rather than giving your post such a dramatic headline? It clearly states:45002 wrote:Forgive me if I got this wrong, but do i have to spend £33.97 ? to get this pack working correctly

This pack uses a range of DLC and Freeware Packs but the ONLY required item is the WCML North route. To use all the scenarios you will need all the items below but even if you are missing some items there will still be plenty you can play. Each scenario lists the content required in the description to help you choose scenarios you can play.
Thanks for the reply Chris.220389 wrote:You don't need to. All scenarios have descriptions fully detailing what DLC is required for them.45002 wrote:Forgive me if I got this wrong, but do i have to spend £33.97 ? to get this pack working correctly

Ignoring missing items is NOT recommended.Proceed at your own risk!
OK,Thanks again Chris220389 wrote:You should be safe to just click ignore and continue. If any worries Ask Jim (Nobkins)

Jim was talking to me.
Hello gypbrcgypbrc wrote:Why don't you click it and find out?
You won't 'keep getting' error messages. Take a look through the manual and see which scenarios use only the stock you have and just play those scenarios. If you play any scenario that uses stock you don't have you will get a message on loading saying 'unable to load rail vehicle'.
Is that all???Darpor wrote:You asked the very same question the other day and were given the link. It's now also on the download page as well.Redbusmatt wrote:Hi All,

Required Steam DLC
West Coast Main Line North Add-On (WCML North)
Recommended/Optional Steam DLC
Class 156 Addon
Class 66 Diesel Locomotive Railworks Add-on
Class 67 Addon (RSC Version)
Class 390 Electric Multiple Unit Railworks Add-on
Well, if the "this" means the scenario pack, then you don't have to buy it. It's free.Redbusmatt wrote:

May have to go and buy this now, and buy the 156, 390 and 67!
Sorry "Darpor", couldn't find the link

Yes indeed that is fine. I was not sure what to write at that stage of the installer. I don't have a lot of space to play with so the simplest thing to say is that these things are recommended but you can ignore and continue at your own risk.220389 wrote:You should be safe to just click ignore and continue. Kind of but I understand your point of view. The 4 cloned scenarios that use the JT versions are there as a bonus. When the pack was being created a list of "allowed stock" was created. The idea was to allow people to use the DLC that they might have (and want to drive) without making the "allowed stock" list so long that it would restrict who could use the pack.Dave4468 wrote: I can understand that some scenarios obviously use the 67 as passing traffic or for the SLEPs, therefore they need to be there. I'm a little peeved I can't use any of the JT 67 scenarios as they still all seem to need the RSC 67. Surely one reason to clone them for the JT 67 is the fact that people who have the JT 67 won't have the RSC 67?
Or maybe I am missing the point...
Thanks Jim but I am not sure this is going to do it. On running the fix it tells me that my Railworks registry settings 'appear to be set correctly' i.e. the default location. I forgot to metnion in my first post that I do also have a standard install of railworks in the default location. It is a cloned copy on another drive to which I install any add ons etc - and that must be confusing things.Hi Peter.
That is a typo. There is no "change" button because the installer looks for a registry setting created by Railworks which specifies where Railworks is installed. It looks like on your computer this registry setting is set incorrectly. I have written a program that will allow you to correct the registry key so it points to your RailWorks folder.
Just use the little program to correct the registry setting.
Then install the pack which will detect the correct location.
Here is the program you need:
http://www.uktrainsim.com/freewarepacks ... tryfix.php
The Just Trains packs use the same method. I restrict the ability for the user to choose the folder as it MUST be the RailWorks folder. If it is NOT the RailWorks folder then the DLC reskins included in the pack can not be set up (because the installer can not find the files it needs to copy to make them work).
I have no idea why RailWorks does not correct this registry key when you run it but it doesn't so I wrote the tool to allow users to fix it themselves.
Thanks
Jim
When it says "your railworks setting seem to be set correctly" and then lower down on the same messge "Would you like to update these settings anyway" just choose "Yes"x5pgr wrote:Thanks Jim but I am not sure this is going to do it. That is the reason yes. You are trying to install the files to a location that is a clone of your RailWorks folder and is NOT your steam RailWorks folder.x5pgr wrote: I forgot to metnion in my first post that I do also have a standard install of railworks in the default location.
