Howdy
Just saved me 30 Quid. Sounds very disappointing considering the quality of German dlc of late.It really has been first rate.I think I'll wait and see the response

Thanks....Phill

From the Steam description:
Special Notes
Please note that this expansion pack has higher than usual system requirements due its high level of detail.

System Requirements OS:
Windows 7 64-Bit
Processor: 3.4 GHz or faster
Memory: 8.0 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 6 GB of free space
Video Card: 1.0 GB, such as Nvidia GTx560 or ATI equivalent, with Pixel Shader 3.0* (AGP PCIe only)
DirectX®: 9.0c (Included)
Sound: Direct X 9.0c compatible
Considering the specs for the likes of Woodhead and WCML-N, this must a very demanding route!

Not really. I have my settings on high and it runs fine, when you are running in between cities its very sparse, flat tree lines to hide the fact there is no scenery beyond. Save your money mate, very disappointing.

Has anybody run this route yet - reason asking is that on the Aerosoft site it says a minimum 2.6Ghz processor on the Steam site it says due to higher than usual system requirements a 3.4Ghz is the minimum - am/was very interested in the route, the lower end spec would be well within my range but if the upper end is really required, then the cost of a new PC and the Add-on is way out of my range !!!!!!
.

* DBz (DB for "double decker"? well not really, but these are them)
Actually, the meanings are: D - Double Decker, A - 1st Class, B - 2nd Class, z - Airconditioned, b - handicap-accessible, f - driving cab. In other words: DABz stands for a Double Decker with both 1st and 2nd class and which is airconditioned, DBz stands for a Double Decker with only 2nd class and which is airconditioned, and DBbzf stands for a Double Decker with only 2nd class which has a driving cab and which is handicap-accessible and airconditioned.

3.4Ghz means unless you are a dab hand at overclocking, anyone with less than an I5 2500 (which I believe are rated at 3.3Ghz) need not bother applying.

Talk about not only pricing out of the market but speccing out of the market too!

That is going to put off those who might not necessarily want the route/stock themselves but looking to acquire the assets for their own projects. It's certainly not fair to expect other users to have to pay through the nose for overpriced junk to see a few buildings appear in a freeware route.

IMHO the sooner this particular DLC bubble bursts, the better for our hobby.

I see Ottodad's already slaughered it at t-s.com, which is usually a guarantee for excellent quality.

Not sure why Vern, if you don't want it, don't buy it. Evidently others want it.

As for performance, I think the specs are more to cover the developer. Everyone has been asking for more realistic specs to be posted and now they do, that gets complaints as well. For me, it actually runs no worse than WCML or Woodhead on a decidely average system. I presume that 3.4ghz relates to a single core anyway, if you are running dual core and above, you should be well covered.

Is it accompanied by the annual accounts of Aerosoft?

Some people are way too click happy.

£24.99, standard route price, no?

They even put screenshots up so you can see before you buy!

Yes it's very disappointing that all that time was spent building and texturing new assets rather than placing trees. And they didn't even have the nerve to tell anybody before they sold it!

Hi, ...

So the route is good and is also the driving situation in this area properly represent
The scenarios are great.

But there are also a few BUGS.

The Steam version missing the signals ...
The F4 screen they are displayed properly on the track itself, the signal is not displayed objects.
There are again a lot of "milk bottles".

The sound file of the BR 143 must be fixed too.

That's what I've found so far.

As I said, the Route and the scenarios are very good.
I think it's better than "Hagen - Siegen"
The money is worth it.
I think it's for this route will soon be many scenarios.

One more thing ...

What I personally find a bit silly, the scenery is one of the assets TexDiff shader builds (twoside material) and not with the "TrainLightMapWithDiffuse"
TexDiff shader is a "clutter" Shader.Fors mall objects.
Scenery objects (houses, ect.) Is better with "TrainLightMapWithDiffuse."Shader
If you use the shader TexDiff you get at the end of a model that looks like a TS MSTS object. Without depth.

Perhaps it is responsible to learn someday to hold on to the Policies & regulations of the game engine.

Was going to get this, especially as I would like some more continental routes.

However, if those really are the specs required then there is no way my ancient system is going to cope!!
