Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line from Just Trains
At times I do feel that the amount of Line Unevenness is set too high, with the train rolling so much, it's comes through as being unrealistic. Sure, given the right place, the bounce does give good effect, but not so much on straight track as mentioned above....

The number of identikit churches up and down the line is rather... curious. A real suspension of disbelief issue for me.

Have to live with the signalling thenbdy26 wrote:Sounds impressive![]()
The default signals will clear when crossed in the reverse direction - its a known bug since the KUJU days that has never been dealt with.
I think I've got a list of those somewhere...![]()

Scenario Update
All statics in - never seen that many locos & DMU's on Haymarket - I did say earlier in the thread that the fps killer tiles were coming up
AI sorted to Inverkeithing - only problem was a service exiting via the Perth Portal from Ladybank kept giving a Collision message as I was racing past Thornton Jcn - now its a static @ Ladybank waiting to follow the player service.

I use MSI Afterburner for the OSD you saw in my screenshots, if you have a logitech keyboard with an lcd you can also output the info on that display as well.mojo12012 wrote:I get the same sort of fps figures with a 1050 overclocked to 3.5. As a matter of interest what is the in game monitoring system you use which comes up on your screenshots?

Successfully swapped in the 101 DMU for the Class 26. Actually quite enjoyable hurtling along the track through South Gyle, particularly with the jointed track sound the route has, going full tilt.

Sounds good Vern, glad its working. I've done one with a 26 + 40 going the other way. Defiantly a fun route to drive in the blue era

Must say I am disappointed with the lack of night lighting in key areas like towns/villages/crossings/streets? Its awfully black out there peeps? Yes I know its Scotland but they do have electricity!
(even if it is water powered)

Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line from Just Trains
Just purchased this route I am very pleased with it. Now having driven all the route I find that it provides an interesting challenge, plenty of changes in speed restrictions and changes in gradients. It is not a route to test the top speed of trains but it certainly is not boring. I have found that it needs close concentration for most of the time. Some routes enable you to reach the maximum speed and then sit there with virtually nothing to do for minutes on end.
Some comments are from members who are familiar with the route and they have come up with some remarks on its authenticity but as I have no knowledge at all of the area I am satisfied with the scenery provided. In MSTS the North West England route always gave me some minor problems as it did not in places look as it should (Preston station for example) but it did not stop me from driving it time and time again. I principally like driving trains so as long as the trackwork is there, all the signals work and the stations have platforms by and large I am happy. The fact that every church looks the same is immaterial to me I am not on an architectural tour I am driving a train.
Thanks to Just Trains and everyone involved with the production of this route. Keep up the good work and do not be put off by those people who seem to want perfection because it often is not available.

Quite true, however it has to be said that if I am spending my hard earned on a payware product I do expect a degree of attention to detail, like you get in freeware routes these days, not a big ask is it?do not be put off by those people who seem to want perfection because it often is not available.

Hehe! I am not on an architectural tour, either, I can assure you (the fact it happens to be churches I mentioned is slightly ironic, believe me).kreader wrote:The fact that every church looks the same is immaterial to me I am not on an architectural tour I am driving a train.
What I have a problem with is the obvious repetition of assets. It's almost like watching Fred Flintstone drive his car as the same scenery goes by time and time again. In other words, it's just a little too obvious for my taste and that's why it irks me the way it does.
It doesn't bother you and that's fine; I am genuinely pleased you're happy.
