Don't know if you already knew but the class 77 is up on steam and with a nice discount to £8 if you have woodhead already. A nice touch i thought

I guess you would have to see what Getgames offers. You can't expect Steam to offer discount when you shopped elsewhere.

Aye but we have warning panels on the electrics now opening up a lot more realistic scenario possibilities with 60's era dieslels. Given that most green diesels in RW have a yellow warning panel which only really started in the later half of 1961.

Hi, the 77 names have been done and will get added (I have this penciled for when I add Mayfield). This was much my fault as they were not in my spec and did not get done till after scenarios were created, changing the dynamic numbers was not something we could do so close to launch.

The 76 Names I am not sure if I will add them.

I wish you could be perswaded to add the Class 76 Names when your time allows Derek. The names from Greek mythology do give another nice element of character to these interesting locos.

I've recently previously mastered the excellent and challenging Class 76 Control System (seemingly very close to the prototype from what I've read elsewhere). I've just purchased the Class 77 add-on and wonder where the Traction Mode Lever is for changing from Series to Parallel and back? Is it the lever on the far right on its own? Are there any other obvious differences in driving the Class 77, as opposed to the Class 76?

To be honest, the new manual still leans towards the Class 76 whereas, there are (as in real-life) some differences with the Class 77 controls.

One again though, an excellent Product for an equally excellent (Woodhead) Route.

Great locos - both the 76 and 77 - and love the artwork on the manual, btw.
Am I the only one having the speedometer on the 77 read out kph instead of mph? And no sun blinds?

I would second that. BR blue is an era that far more people can relate to and is the livery that most people will remember 76's carrying, anyone born after the mid 60's will not remember black or green. The loco itself is awesome and now one of my favourite few in the sim but I just know that black and green is only going to hold my interest for so long.

Yep, the series / paralell lever is the one on the right. The only significant difference is the lack of weight transfer switch - the EM2 didn't have linked bogies like the EM1s that required this.

I also get the same over-read on the speedo, sure that is easily fixed. I did slam the anchors when I thought I was doing 110 though

Curiously the EM2s had the same bogies as the LMS 10000/10001 twin diesels.(A little random Friday fact for you there).

Maybe I was dreaming when I saw an MU class 76 in the RSC line up.
Perhaps we are going to get an MU class 76 blue pack, with normal blue 76 and fictional BR blue class 77? Maybe it is going to come with some nice wagons, such as a BOC TEA tanker etc..
