AI trains help

Hi all i am thinking about making scenarios for railworks but how can i get the AI trains to start before my train gets to them i find this very difficult to do can anybody help?

You can't. Annoying isn't it? But its not that much of a problem in most cases.

If you were working off a timetable, you'll need to work out where your AI should be at the point the scenario starts.

One thing to do to help is to use a timetabled rather than a standard scenario. You can start the scenario and have your player train arrive and stop (if that's what you want) then click on it and drive it which gives you some time to have AI trains appear where you are (perhaps at speed rather than just having started.

Timetabled AI services also seem to be more controllable in that the wait timings are obeyed properly by the dispatcher. You can use these features without having to actually timetable the player.

It's simply a matter of driving the player train to get the timings right along the route and then setting an appropriate start time for the AI trains in the TimeTable menu.
