Hi!
I'm noticing since long time, when i switch to a stock RSC loco's cab view, then my FPS drops (from 25 to 14-16), and it's permanent(even if i switch back to external view) until i restart the scenario, OR get in another (freeware) locomotive and switch to cab, when i do this, the frame rate rises.
Now i tried this with a freeroam scenario, by putting down an RSC BR101, and two third party freeware locos. If i switch to freeware loco's cab, no any fps drop. If i do this on 101, -10 fps.
Do anyone noticed this? Of course you will probably see if the FPS is not limited by anything, so the best way to test is by disabling fps limit.
In screenshots
Freeware BB4700, 27 fps
WIP M62, 29 fps
The lineup, 29 fps
Get in to RSC BR101, FPS drop 19 fps
This FPS drop stays if i switch to external view.
But after this i get in bo BB4700 switched to cab view, and the FPS was 29 again
FPS rise back to normal
First i though about the "raindrop" effect shader on windows, but the BB4700 also have this effect on glass, so it can't be the problem.

Have you considered that the frame rate counter may just be sticking, and not updating to any new figure?
Have you tested your theory with another FPS monitor?

I tested with fraps too, same happens. Anyways, it noticeable without fps counter.

Re: Something in stock loco cabs causing slowdown
The only time I get a drop in frame rates is if I turn the lights on, but I've never had the issue you have.
Re: Something in stock loco cabs causing slowdown
Then it seems it's a rare bug, but it's there.
The funny is, not all RSC locos have this FPS drop issue. BR101 has, class 47 too, but for example ES44AC don't.
