What is your ultimate RW TS2012 wishlist?

We all have our wishes and we all have those little things we would love to have amended/tweeked or totally overhauled. Here is my wishlist.....
Routes
London to Brighton (we all know the runours)
London to Hastings or the Kent Coast
Extend the PDL into London or Brighton
London Eustone to Manchester Picadilly
WCML South to join up with the already brilliant WCML North
Rolling Stock
4 CEP
375/377 (Again some runours)
456
319
Improvements
Make the level crossing sounds quieter
Improve the Class 170 sounds and get rid of the aweful boom boom boom
Stop suicide road vehicles
Create different levels of passengers on each station depending on the time/place etc....
Create more AI at terminus stations in ''peak'' (thats one for all you scenario creators)
Better headlights for night running so you can see a little further ahead.
Routes built with ''car marks'' on the platforms
Thats just some of my wishlist, some will agree and some will disagree.
What would be your ultimate list if you could change anything you wanted??

The level crossing sounds can be altered by editing the relevant .bin or .proxyxml files. Furthermore if you want better sound fading then use the crossings supplied with the Bristol-Exeter route as these don't suddenly go quiet when a certain distance is reached.
I think the boom sound you are referring to is distortion caused by several instances of the same sound running together. There was a
discussion on this a few months ago. All the multiple units are affected by this and not just the 170. I have experimented with the 166 by altering the sound files for each coach with limited success. What's really needed is a completely different recording taken for each of the three coaches.

If I recall correctly (haven't used the 170 for a bit) the main problem with the 170 is that you get rail-joint sounds for all the 170s in the vicinity at full volume in your cab, so anywhere busy it's continual boom-boom. As far as I know its only the 170 that suffers from this.

Yeah, you get the internal rail joint sound of any 170 in the vicinity played at full volume when in the cab of your own train (170 or any other cab). Oovee did say a while back that they were aware of this and that there was a simply solution to it. That was a while back now though. It is rather annoying such a bug has remained this long though.
If you want to make the level crossings quieter, then turn down the ambient volume level.

Thanks for the tip on the level crossing, and yes i was reffering to the sound in the 170 cab you get when running over rail joints, i dont like it but i'm not sure if that is what it should sound like. As for the sound you get when in a different cab i totally agree, i can be over bearing when your driving a class 43 and all you can here is the boom boom boom of a 170 somwhere in the vacinity.

The sounds of the 170 are very good. And the rail joint noises are superb (the first time I heard them I immediately recognised them as the sounds 170 in particular make when heading out of Worcester on the jointed track); but they get on your nerves when they play continuously even when you're not in a 170 and are stationary!

Surely it should be a TS2013 wishlist. We must be nearly halfway there.
I do hope RSC give a bit more priority to fixing existing minor bugs. New DLC maybe the bread and butter, but the existing bugs might put people of buying more mouldy bread and lard.

Routes
ANYTHING pre-grouping as this area seems to be neglected in train simulation
Cambrian Line
Valley Line (I am working on the rhondda line but building a route that isnt a rural branchline is a bit difficult)
HS1
HS2 (well we do have the IEP)
Great Western Mainline in Broad Gauge (with disk and crossbar signals and of course some nice iron duke's)
Rolling Stock
Vintage overhead EMU so anything from 301 to 313
more 1st gen DMU's
EF/EB1 in NER, LNER and BR for the woodhead route

The RW's light are brighter than they would be in real life. However that's how it is only in UK like that though.

Routes
High Speed 1 and Channel Tunnel, maybe the route upto Calais. The route could probably have a payware extension at a later date to Paris. Includes the Class 9, and the Coaches that it uses.
Euston to Birmingham, then Birmingham to Manchester. Later the route upto Carlise. Maybe the order could be reversed as to extend from WCML North.
German High Speed Line to go with Ice 3.
Rolling Stock
225 Set. I'm pretty sure it'll only be a few months till RSC start hinting about a release is Ben's set is still being made.
Ice 3. To go with new route.
Eurostar. To go with High Speed 1.
Improvements
All default routes upgraded or remade to TS2012 standards.
Upgraded/New Sound Engine.
Vegetation Lighting fixed. Syncing the times with the Day/Night cycle ones.

Simple...
A
decent "Modern" engine for the game, that doesn't have
any legacy Kuju code contained within it. Even with the 'Performance' updates, it's still not as fluid as it could be. (It's not my system.. )
Signalling whilst much improved could still be a lot better as you get spurious stuck signals when there is no reason for it.
etc, etc..
A brand new game would be best (Keep TS2012 and DLC in their current state, but fixed of course

) then those whom wish to stay with the current system can, and those who want to risk something 'better' has the choice whether or not to upgrade this time round

My wishlist:
Routes:
HS1 would be quite nice.
The complete London Paddington - Bristol TM - Swansea (GWML and SWML) line. It'd be fun to drive and it would have my house on it.
ECML that would be just like the WCML.
Locos and Rolling Stock:
Network Rail measuring train hauled by a Class 31.
A Class 59.
Trains to go with the above routes.
Improvements:
Performance
Physics
Other stuff:
Random Train Failure
Oversized car washing machine for trains that would actually wash the train (Optional - could reduce frame rates?)
OK. That's all for now.

Routes:
North London Line
Any suburban route in London
Trains:
A DBSO (scotrail, NR and anglia variations)
A class 313 (or any PEP EMU)
A decent Class 56
Misc:
Fix some of the glitches!!
There are many more...but that is more on the reasonable side of things.

I'd go with you on the first two, especially the DBSO (and add a DVT to that list!). I wouldn't say we need a "decent" Class 56 though, we already have a more than decent one already. Although choice and variety is good, there is a lot more I would rather see than more duplication where possible.

My ultimate list would be something like this;
Routes;
Weymouth to London Waterloo (inc Push Pull Class 33's)
Weymouth to Bristol (Excellent Gradients for Freight)
Bristol to Birmingham (Inc a lot of Spurs and Branches - Westerleigh Fuel Depot, Gloucester Station and Marshalling Yard)
Grimsby to Doncaster (Incorporating Immingham, Barnetby, Scunthorpe etc)
Birmingham to Doncaster (Burton, Derby, Sheffield, Rotherham etc)
Bristol to Portsmouth (Bath, Salisbury, Southampton) - inc Romsey Line
Scenario's;
A decent amount of people starting to have a go at writing their own scenario's, would make for interesting times.
Scenarios that come with the add on routes, that use "All" the Freeware Locos and Stock.
Station Announcements!!!!
Loco's;
Class Packs - Southern Region (33's, 73's, 56's and CIG's)
Decent DMU's from the BR era (118's etc)
