Atomic Systems

I'm trying to get the Leafy Suburbs route by Hertsbob to work. I've done the following without success:
Installed all the extra files listed for the route.
Deleted the blueprints.
Verified the game cache twice.
Checked for missing stock/assets with RW tools (all ok).
Ran with TSX on and off.
Tried loading via 'Drive by Route' and 'Editor'.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Railworks via Steam.
After all this, ALL the scenarios (approx 15) in the route come up with 'SBHH'-I can't get past the loading screen.
Can anybody suggest where I go from here please? I've run out of ideas!

I would suggest to send a PM to Hertsbob. Leafy is a wonderful route but one of the older ones. I have not tried it recently but it could have something to do with compatibility with RS2012. Perhaps he knows what the issues are.

I've replied via a PM but I thought I'd post it here as well in case it prompts suggestions from anyone else.

The only thing that springs immediately to mind that would affect every scenario would possibly be whether you've got the Isle of Wight installed? As far as I am aware if there are errors due to missing scenery then the route will still load albeit without the scenery items present, whereas if it's missing stock then the route will fall over with a SBHH.

One other thought is that I've used some of Pete's (karma99) original wagons as scenery items in a couple of locations. This didn't originally cause an issue, but it may be that something has changed with TS2012 which means it now does.

The route in its current state works OK on my PC but I broke all the scenarios a while ago, so I don't personally have a bench-mark I can use to test against.

I've just got all the files together for Leafy Suburbs and I'll try loading and running it at the weekend. I hope I don't get any problems but if I do I'll let you know. If you get a solution please post it in case I get the same problem,

I have the IOW route installed and I re downloaded Pete's wagons in case they've been updated but it still comes up SBHH so I hope it works for you!

OK Bob, here goes. I loaded the files but there was a bit of a choice to make and I'm not 100% certain I've made the right choice. When I copied the football field and the cricket field into the scenery folder, the folders have the same name so I let them merge. Perhaps the cricket field and football field will overlap or something but it didn't stop it loading. I ran the first scenario, the 12:45, and it was OK. I assume that the others are too. You can sleep easy tonight, at least I will not be cursing you! I only played with it for 5 minutes or so but it's looking good. Thanks for the 'new route' and I'll let you know what happened to the playing fields when I pass them on the next departure,

Thanks for that, John. Glad to hear you've got it working, I suppose I'll have to finish off the next version at some point and sort out my glowing assets.

This does make Jim's problem a bit more strange.

I went back and checked the other scenarios. This next posting was to ask about a green Jubilee, GWR freight stock, and some LT stock for the pannier which are stopping some scenarios from loading and playing. I guess the GWR stuff is the freeware from DP Sim by Q1 Pete. I still can't get that Q1 scenario to load at all. I get a blank screen and have to exit using task manager and start again. I downloaded all the files from the readme but obviously it's not comprehensive. I'll download the files tomorrow because it's my bedtime. I'm 4 hours in front of you as I'm in the UAE,

PS Sorry Jim, unfortunately you are missing something that's pretty good. I love those Ivatt 2MTT's!

The Jubilee is payware from RSC. Unless you're really keen on having a Jubilee in your RW lineup then it's most certainly not worth parting with any cash to buy it for what is a relatively brief scenario.

I wonder whether Pete's Q1 works elsewhere? It's an absolutely fabulous piece of work, and I think it's fair to say was ground-breaking in its day (if it isn't still today).

The LT stock I've linked to earlier. Also a joy to drive, and the sounds are fantastic.

Can't believe nobody else has done any of the Met so far in RW.

Glad to see you've got yours partly up and running John. I've given up for the time being-I'll come back to it later. To be honest, I had all the scenarios running (including Pete's Q1) when Bob first put the route out and it was great as I live close to Harrow and can relate to the route very well, but I hadn't used it since Railworks was upgraded until now which is when the problem started. I've just re downloaded the IOW route again in case there was a fault there, but it's still the same.

In answer to your question about the Q1: it's fine and I have it running in two scenarios on the S&D. Ugly but nice! I'll get the other stock sorted out and let you know if the other scenarios run OK, and I'll try na IHH Brittania instead of the 5XP

I downloaded IoW last week and there was a choice of a Rail Sim or Railworks versions. Did you pick the Railworks? I thought I'd ask just in case,

I'm not giving up on Leafy Suburbs. I'll keep trying but I don't have a lot of time to use Railworks so it might take a while.
Wembley Central sounds good as I used to hang out there in the '60s - I remember it well.
