Thanks for responding Derek. I'll revise my "milestones" to finish up the Trainz version first (hopefully 6 to 8 weeks) then see how things are looking with the PP updates.

Re the Lister, nice looking bit of kit but probably not got the "grunt" to handle long runs or sustained climbs, we need something like one of the FR or indeed the DHR diesels for that (at which point I green light Ohrid!).

I have had so much fun with it shunting in my yards.

Are you able to fix this fairly easily.

If so then I think we can make a number of requests to RS,com to take up your offer, particularly as this is a Charity Route and it does spoil the enjoyment of the route. It all worked fine before TS2102 so it should work OK afterwards as well.
The files were fixed last October and offered to RSC.

I've just seen Dereks post and am a little unsure as to whether he means that these files will be uploaded or maybe some other fix.

Cheers,

Kevin

Kind regards James.
Most of my NG stock on this site will also probably have the same problem.

I haven't been able to run Railworks for some time for some unknown reason. I'll try the latest update and see if this gets me working. If I can get up and running then I will see about trying to fix my UKTS assets as well.

Cheers,
Kevin

I wanted to put some NG stock into Ben's (Bdy26) CKPR Flusco Quarry and it caused all sorts of mayhem! Placing of stock but unable to remove etc.. and game lock up so it'd be great if there was a fix official or otherwise.
I'd even like to make a small scenario for the quarry so if any very nice clever person has a fix could I have a copy please!

Kernow2
You can remove the stock using RW Tools

John
Thanks John, In the end I did just that - That was the only way I could save the scenario I was working on. :fadein:

So... two months later. Did something happen to the patch? At least it's still not possible to drive "Sir Derek" in Free roam. Could whoever has this patch not override the 'official' structures at RSC and at least supply it here for all to use? Want to do something with the NG locos, but can't :(

Unfortunately, the patch comprises of new shape files and I'm pretty sure that I would not be allowed to upload these files to this site.

RSC do have the updated files and all I can suggest is that you write to RSC support.

It's a shame as I've got a couple of ng projects waiting in the wings but can't really blow the dust off them until the fixes have gone through.

Does this mean that for those who downloaded your Narrow Gauge stuff from UKTS cannot get the repair needed for Free Roam to work.

I've recieved permission to upload the Project Phorum updated files to UKTS, and so I will do my best to get these uploaded tomorrow.

No, the fact that I haven't uploaded the patch files for my UKTS models is purely down to me, I'm afraid.
I managed to injure my right hand a few weeks ago, which stopped me doing anything with the computer.
My hand is fine now but have to confess to totally forgetting about the patched files!!!

They are all done, but I need to write the installation intructions.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks so much Kevin for that information. I was not trying to push things but was wondering if RSC where going to make things difficult for you.

I've finally managed to upload the updated Project Phorum patch files:-

Click to view more informationPhorum Peninsula NG update files. [1981332 bytes] - PP_New_Asset.zip
File ID: 28791 Date: 14 Apr 2012 - 664 Downloads

I've used an auto install program to try and make the installation easier (I hope!!)

It will install to the default location of Railworks, but you will be given an option to change this if necessary.

Only been able to test this on Vista, I'm afraid. It will work on XP, but not 100% sure about Windows 7 or 64bit systems.

Don't forget to delete the blueprint.pak file in the asset\community\Projectplatform folder before trying the stock out.

If you do a verify cache then you will need to reinstall these files, as they will be overwritten by the RSC official files.

Cheers,

Kevin
