Oops! Just noticed...as some have just commented on, the rebuilts have a screw reverser, not steam...

Oh, and could we have a working steam brake too please?? !!!

Not until RW itself gets working steam brakes. Might be able to make it work if you make the locobrake a vacuum brake.

As a baseline I tend to use the Torbay Express scenario supplied with B&E for steam engine testing, which is 11 DT Mk1s in the version I use. Was an impressive climb up to Whiteball but really struggled to get over 70mph on the flat between WSM and Taunton, which I'm less convinced about.

Hmmm yes these machines were known for very fast running in the 60's!! Merchant Navy's and the light pacifics regularly did the ton between Waterloo and Bournemouth. What a sight and experience that must have been!! :o

On modern railtours Tangmere has to be held back once it gets up to 75mph - she just wants to take off!!

Looking at videos and pictures of the engine it looks to have been modelled very nicely. SO I took the plunge and bought it. However, when installing the add-on I couldn't get past the 'Product Authentication' screen.

I have entered all my details correctly (several times) however none of the buttons on the screen are responsive. Several fixes have been attempted (checking it's not being blocked by antivirus/firewall/general Internet security etc.), I have also rung Just Trains to ask for their support but they could not suggest a fix at this time.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, have you come across a fix?

Use the Justtrains support section on their website, they are very quick and effective.

You make it air or vacuum.

Decided to expand my collection of steam locos and took the plunge. As others have said, very nice overall model and nice to have some new coaches to boot. Good work, DT :)

Couple of observations:
1) as has already been mentioned, the lights -- grr!
2) I cannot seem to open the firebox door to stoke the fire... F key seems to do jack-diddley and there seems not to be a mouseable (not that I like mouse control) alternative.

Anyone else had the latter?

Cheers, Rik.

I very rarely do requests, but after Taw Valley's name is repaired in the patch that is being made. Would anyone be willing to do a repaint for it in Maroon to act as Hogwarts express (which it was painted as)

Or give a guide so i can have a crack at it.

Chris

I would also love to see a re-skin of her in maroon, although with her real name :P wonder if anyone out there is willing to do it? It would certainly be an interesting re-skin :)

One of my friends was trying to do a Maroon reskin of these, (as I have a strange desire to run No 34101 "Hartland" in Maroon!), but as far as I am aware, he's had several problems with exporting and changing files. I too would love to see a Maroon WC, or even Experimental Blue, as long as all nameplates work on it ;)

Not looked at the textures but DT have used 2048 textures that Serz and hence RWTools won't handle - may be the same issue here. RSBin tool in the library works fine on such textures.

I've looked at most of them ( fiddled with most of them too ) - none are over 1024^2, but there are some which don't have mipmaps which might be causing the problems.
