Everytime I am entering a tunnel I have a fatal blowback. I do not use the auto fireman. I am alone with this problem?

You probably know this, sorry if you do, but do you close the firebox before entering the tunnel?

Hope that helps.

The firebox is close and secure. I tried it 3 times everytime the same. I mailed it support. I am really alone with this problem? I will try it with auto fireman.

I tried a freeroam K4@Johnstown ; after 1,85 km derailment due to switch set against train .
I tought that was solved in RW3; not realy solved as it should , as on my own route , i see that the loc resets the switch when running over it . It should be as in RL , running over it without changing the switch .

Hi Winberg
When aproaching the tunnel open the F4 HUD and check the firebox door icon to check that the door is shut.

I edited the values (there are a LOT of them) from 50 to 80 and didn't have any cutout on the scenario I just played (Boxed In).
Heads Up - since this was posted there has been an update to the K4 which restored this sound mod to default.

Indeed, right you are! I just checked the .bin file and it's all 50 again. Sneaky buggers! Well, I'll just pop in the copy of the modded file I made. :-)

Thank you bigphill2! F and Shift + F is only the animation of the firebox door. There is no key to open and close the box and I drive with the keybord keys + F5 and without the HUD and auto fireman. It would be nice such things are in the manual. Is it possible to assign an other key to the firebox door function because I hate the HUD.

Can anyone explain me please what the small ejector makes in an american steam engine? There are no vakuum brakes.

Hi
I think if you open the tech hud you'll see that controlling the firebox with the keyboard does'nt add fuel to the fire. Agree totally about the manual. History i can get from "wiki" but cab controls etc are not possible to find

At the start of a K4 scenario the firedoor is open and the stoker is running. I can control the stoker with R and Shift + R without problems. But optical the firedoor in the engine is closed. That is the reason why I did not realised that the firedoor is open and how I can close them (only at the HUD). I think this is a good compromise for a stoker engine but we need another key for opening and closing the firedoor in the program engine.

At the K4 the loco break is working! A new thing for an steam engine. But only 0% or 100%. Is this right for an steam engine loco break?

In the Horse Shoe Curve scenario ww2(PT2) Rushing the Rations with manual fireman you cannot pump enough water into the boiler as it is using more than can be pumped in. Even stationary it uses more than can be pumped in. Also the steam usage and steam generated gauges are all over the place. Pressure relief valve going off at 160 psi. I can only go about 6 miles into this scenario before running out of water. I'm only using about 50% throttle and about 45% reverser.

Now when I run this scenario on auto fireman everything works perfectly. Able to complete it with water to spare.
Anyone else having this problem. Have emailed RSC.
