I opened this thread (http://ftp.atomic-systems.com/viewtopic ... 5#p1490955) last year regarding re-installing assets after doing a verify cache and remembering where you'd obtained them all from in the first place, there were a few good answers that folks may, or not, find useful in remembering what needs to be re-installed tonight/tomorrow after this core update, for those who may have been wondering what to do, just a thought.bri2808 wrote:Adding positively and helping on this thread would be gooddrfisher wrote:Ok, is there an easy way to do a backup and then copy things back and keep the updates?
I've lost track of the number of small fixes, updates etc that I have downloaded and installed that will get rolled back by this update, can't bear the thought of having to install the lot again!
Drfisher asked what I guess many of us, myself included is. What is the best and quickest way of backing up? Some I guess just lurk and hope someone will stick their head above and wait to be shot down. So now there is two of us waiting and hoping

You can't be too careful I suppose, but a core update shouldn't overwrite any added or modified content either from Steam or other sources, unless the content is also being updated which as far as I know hasn't been mentioned. Only a verification of the game cache seems to put all Steam content back to original.TransportSteve wrote:I opened this thread (http://ftp.atomic-systems.com/viewtopic ...

Cheerz. Transport Steve.
Yes you are fine. Core 2s are 64 bit processors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_2.rikwesson wrote:Hi, not sure if this information helps with finding out if I can run a 64-bit programme but according to my system info I have an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 3.00Ghz
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
All the best, Richard.
