All I want is the cobbled roads in my own route to stop being stripey and go back to looking like they did before RW3

Doesn't seen a lot to ask for :)

Depending on whether or not the clock issue is framerate related, then I guess we'll find out with the update. It sounds as if the way that frames are rendered is changed and as such if the clock was tied in with this then perhaps this issue is actually fixed.

Some of the new things sound very promising overal.

Also completely off topic, currently waiting on Steam to download the High Res textures for Skyrim :D

I don't think it's meant to be particularly exciting (a la the launch of TS2012 in September), just a general fix/clean up of some widely reported issues

I was hoping to see in that list "Oh yeah we dumped direct sound" Blast! Fingers crossed then, lets see if it will run on my wonky set-up? Well I say wonky, wonky with RW's perfect on other games. :-?
Well just turned off automatic updates until I see what happens and members report in!

Funny you should mention sound Martin. I was just running the 8F scenario on Woodhead and pondering if they have fixed the stutter/cut out sound problem with steam locos.

Now that would be a welcome fix.

I am so glad I am taking the afternoon off work tomorrow to go play backgammon at a local pub and enjoy a number of adult beverages. No forum posting for me tomorrow night since I won't have the laptop with me and it is a bad idea to drink and post or post after drinking.

:drinking:

I'll just read the low-lights in the moderators forum on Thursday. :morning:

Just noticed this:
SSimon wrote: Fixes:

In the current version I run in TSX mode at 2x2 SSAA to get reasonable anti-aliasing on OHLE in particular, and the image is sharp. I suppose time will tell but does this 'fix' mean that my image in that setting will now be blurry, but less blurry than it might have been if I'd been using an FXAA injector with SSAA in the current version?

The two things I didn't really understand at all were:
Smoothed dirty network building to stop stutters
Am I right in assuming that 'dirty network building' is a thing the simulator does internally (build a 'dirty network' whatever that is), rather than something to do with a model of a dirty building (ie 'building' is a verb not a noun here)?
HW instancing turned off in PS2.0
Can anybody enlighten me as to what PS2.0 is? (and HW in this context, hardware?)
