Eh? An opinion is an opinion.
The eejits on Geordie Shore have an opinion, however stupid but they still get air time. And their outlook on life certainly isn't helpful.

- there will be pages of discussions about graphics cards

- there will be at least 3 demands for a progress update on the Electrostar
- someone will enquire about whether the update will include their local route as it would be great if someone could build it. Really great, in fact.
- there will be a very helfpul FAQ added that noone will read
- more pixels will be added to first class
- there will be an issue with a shader or something that might as well be written in wingdings
- facebook will trckle updates prompting people to say they couldn't possibly visit that site, and the rest of us to scroll though and endless wall page of comments by the Nerdcubed brigade
- BDY26 will be sitting under the stairs drinking Gin until someone PMs him to say its safe to come back out.
Seriously, as James says, lets hope this actually lets everyone run the game.
Brilliant!

I was laughing the whole way down, then I hit the `wingdings' reference and fell out of my chair.

Thanks for the details Simon. Much appreciated. It would seem that the fixes will also please users of the Route Editor including myself.
Kind regards James.

Let's hope it fixes the instability that, when you have made scenarios that run perfectly well for days then all a sudden you can't get them to load at all. This has now happened again on S & C, even on default routes.
win 7, 64bit, 8gig of ram and dual core processor, I'm beginning to think Bigverns right about this sim. less dlc and more substance please.

Must admit, looking at RS.com's list, I'm disappointed there still doesn't appear to be any updates to the editor or any of the multiple longstanding bugs in the core simulation.
I will wait and see, and several of the changes are interesting, but I had hoped for a little more.

I've lost track of the number of small fixes, updates etc that I have downloaded and installed that will get rolled back by this update, can't bear the thought of having to install the lot again!
Adding positively and helping on this thread would be good
Drfisher asked what I guess many of us, myself included is. What is the best and quickest way of backing up? Some I guess just lurk and hope someone will stick their head above and wait to be shot down. So now there is two of us waiting and hoping

Quite simply, if you are making changes to core software, then the onus is on you to sort out what you have and where you got it from. If you have installed multiple files here, there and everywhere, then you should really have made a note of these changes and/or made a seperate folder structure that could be copied/pasted in after any update.
As for what is the best way to back up? Entirely depends on what you need to back up. Are you an end user or creator or both?
