Fixing the Class 450:

Grab my modified TractiveEffortVsSpeed.dcsv from the following link.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/b2jcs6

Backup the original, then replace it in the following directory.
...Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\GuildfordDistrict\RailVehicles\Electric\Class450\Default\Simulation

This is a quick-fix that I created through guesswork without accurate timing data. All I knew is the approximate 0-30mph timing.

The Class 450 really should have been RSC's first priority to fix instead of the Class 390 etc. because it forms such an integral part of the PDL route.

Hi,

Looks great what you have done to the route ... I just wish I knew how to do things like that! Bringing up to a `realistic` standard is a great achievement; it now looks on a par similair to WCML and Woodhead!

Just one little thing I have to ask ... What is the artist and song title in your video? Loved that track (music as well as the other) and would like to get a copy of it :)

Thanks, and all the best

My motivation was that the route is so much better than the default track it used. I think in general Adam did a great job on the scenery. There are a number of areas which could do with a little bit to add foliage and some scenery items to bring the level of detail in line with the rest of the route. Also the superelevation wouldn't have been possible without his use of easements. I think I might try in earnest at adding scenery to the Alton Branch now. The decals have been down for a while but I keep getting distracted by Norfolk

John, the artist is The Jezabels and the track is City Girl. Check them out, I think they're pretty awesome.

Thats interesting, I haven't checked, but it the entire route fitted with easements, or only certain sections....?

Great work Rich! The changes you have made make such a difference to the route. One question though. Are you intending to release this upgrade of the route, and would there be any issues with releasing it given its a payware route?

Maybe RSC should release this version via Steam as the PDL 2012 Optimised Upgrade, rather than doing it themselves.

If they haven't got around to fixing the Class 450 yet (which should have been an easy fix for them) then goodness knows when PDL will be upgraded. If someone has done the job for them, they should go with it.

Just drove it for the first time in months. I used to love this add-on but after being "away" so long, driving B-E, E-G, WCML-N using Thomson/Oovee trains, the experience was lacking.

RSC should really get in touch with gypbrc and arrange something.

They also need to fix the scenario timings, created for the first version of the Class 450 which was an overpowered rocket.

99.9% sure it's a false positive. Sendspace is your bog-standard file upload/sharing site that I've used for years. It didn't seem to do Kariban any harm when I used it to send him W.I.P. files for my Class 166 mod!

Dunno, I thought I'd give some of the scenarios a go with my own modded 450 - which I'm still waiting for timing info for but is apparently goes & stops reasonably appropriately - and the scenarios seemed ok.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

I think I can help you with timings etc. When Modern Locos Illustrated did their Desiro issue they included a whole bunch of info... I'll dig it out and see if it produces and let you know. :)

I have no problems with my avast anti-virus tool, I think you may have a negative positive Chris.

Nice video young man, however, I've already put some other scenery items onto my route, so, I guess that as we're all different and have our own personal tastes, releasing this may not be completely ideal....Just a thought.

Hmmm, when I opened this .exe application it shows a Data file as being 0 kb in size, the file is called .data, just thought you'd like to know.
