Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
I would recommend going off line after creating separate asset files since updating taters any advantage! After last nights update and re downloading dlc, doh!! The route fails to load with an SBHH!! Grrrrr had to dump a load of files to get it going again, so be warned.
Edit: I am experiencing an vertex buffer failure now? I feel like chucking this software in the bin!

Yes 64bit and 8GB. That must be it because what I described to you was exactly what I did to get it working.

Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
Wonder if the author would consider doing a "lite" version? I am struggling once again changing tracks.

Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
Forgive my ignorance of the technicalities of computers, but, if someone created a route or locomotive using a modern PC with W7 64 bit and 8GB RAM for example, would that stop him/her sending the files to someone who uses XP with 32 bit and 3.5GB RAM for them to adapt that particular model to anyone else who utilises the same PC specifications ??

Not at all Steve. Unless the item created was so hard on the computer resources that it would not run on a lower spec computer which is certainly possible.

Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
Well I am stumped, been in contact with the author about the performance issue re the track, apparently the track is 2D! So what the heck in his route is killing my p.c? I have put all settings down to low and the scenery detail to 1! Still one frame per 2 seconds? The only constant are the signals, the track and the catenery?

Could somebody please confirm whether these tracks are indeed 3D? http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... 0track.jpg Not sure how to show the picture here directly as the code issued doesn't appear to work? Anyone?

Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
What a fantastic route, i did say to myself that unlike MSTS that i would only stick to English routes i have not played the 2 German default routes, but having downloading Hamburg - Breman last week i have installed it only tried out 2 scenarios so far but i love it Hamburg Hbf is amasing when arriving into Hamburg it feels like you are arriving into a city with all the building around, puts our English routes to shame for detailed cities.
Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
Once again!
How it would be wonderful if there was a nice and easy way to tell routre creators about the importance of making sure routes are as lite as possible! Routes must be easily runnable for everyone, to be successful, IMHO.

Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
Problem sorted! After consultation with Ted the route author we discovered that although I had Altenburg Wildau 2.0 installed the track.bin file hadn't overwritten and I was still on the 3D tracks (thanks W7)! No wonder
All done now, 2D tracks installed and everything is fine. Going to play.
how naughty of me, I nearly forgot to thank Ted publicly! Thanks Ted.

Just a bump to say how much I am enjoying this fine route, S-bahn heaven! Blimey, if this core update is a winner then I may feel like doing scenario's once again?

Welcome Back smarty!
Re: Hamburg - Bremen route on Railsim.de
Stunning route, well designed for smooth running, and with a very high immersion factor. Great graphics, sophisticated sounds and captivating scenarios with lots of AI interaction. No exaggeration, this is without a doubt a payware route hiding in a freeware package -- a real gem. I actually found myself smiling and enjoying RW once again.
There's lots to download and install, but if you thoroughly read the directions (and follow them, including the bits about other required routes and freeware assets), you can be up an running in less than an hour. I downloaded and installed the following files, all from rail-sim.de. RWT reported no missing stock for the packaged scenarios, and I had zero problems running the route:
AssetPack1.rar
AssetPack2.rar
AssetPack3.rar
class166_db.rar
class170_db_kmh.rar
deutsche_formsignale_v30.zip
gr_-_sound_update_-_railworks_2012.rar
Hamburg-Bremen.rwp
Hamburg-Bremen_AssetsPack01.rwp
Hamburg-Bremen_AssetsPack02.rwp
