Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
Well, for that price I'd recommend you getting it Mark, I can only hazard a guess that the introductory offer will be for a few days, maybe a week, what's your timeline ??

Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
Hmmm, I think you'll be fine, if they took the discount offer down before Friday then they'd upset a lot of folks.

Been playing with it some more, and a very lovely Unit.
I have posted some screens in the Atmosphere thread as well.

Agreed it's a great unit and a joy to drive. I particularly like the variable speed wipers and the instrument and cab lighting.

I like it so far, and excellent value too at the current price. Just one thing, shouldn't the door interlock light in the cab be lit when the doors are shut?

Bought it earlier (how could I resist, £4.93 with saved up points) and must say I'm quite impressed. However I have noticed one issue, it would appear that when the AWS comes on there is no indicator on the TS2012 HUD.. As I tend to use alternate views other than the cab quite often (be it for screenshots, videos, etc) it does become problematic with the train randomly stopping.
Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
I thought they had made the AWS audible in the outside view? This was a feature requested by many for the very reasons you mention above.Gishank wrote:Bought it earlier (how could I resist, £4.93 with saved up points) and must say I'm quite impressed. Not sure about the AWS indicator on the F4 HUD but you can get the audio for the AWS and DVD to sound in external views which should help, see page 11 of the manual.

Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
Indeed it would appear that the AWS indicator does work in external views, I had music blaring so I wasn't hearing it when it went off (as I wasn't expecting to hear it). Still wouldn't hurt in my opinion to have the old visual indication aswell.

Oh hai guys, I'm back after having the bleeding stopped in my ears from playing the radio test call while having my headphones at max volume..

Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
Does anyone know how to change the destination board?
Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
Yeah, it has an odd key combo. Ctrl-F12 to advanced, ctrl-shift-F12 to rollback37180sirdyfed wrote:Does anyone know how to change the destination board?
Oh and was the horn this way on the original version? It's a straight out recording of keys being pressed on a Casio Keyboard.
Re: JT Class 153 Advanced
Does everyone else get a weird pattern on the windscreen when in the cab view, almost like checks. I've seen it on a few locos before, and I really don't like looking out through it (think it's the same on the 170) - is it to do with the TS2012 engine changes around AA etc, or is it a "feature" developers put in to simulate grime or something? I wish there was a way to just have clear glass!
Other than that, it's a great upgrade, thanks for doing it and making it free......
