Edit: Quick and dirty images... (non AA, quick grab from a 'Career Mode' scenario - A Chill Wind - with a loco from the 86 pack)

I stand corrected then, thanks for pointing that out for me Andy I'll have to take another look at my 86's

Of course any reskins that used the old model will need the geo file recopying across for the effects to show, as well as the wiper pairs bit adding to the bin file. :)

Will be default routes updated to TS2012 or not?

It did, and there's an error with the blue one as the driver is hiding under the loco.

Hmm... I don't know how the rules are regarding this in the UK (or if there are any at all) but that lash-up would never have been allowed most other places in Europe (as the pantographs would be too close together).

I don't think having the fans floating behind my trains that are RSC made DLC and not being fixed a good advert for this game and company when I did not have that problem before. But I do understand them not updating the routes due to the cost and time involved.
I'd forgot about the floating fans on the Class 55.......

Wait.. The Class 55 fans float? In the editor their grills float but I haven't seen floating fans.

SD70's have floating grills behind the train, SW1500s grills completely disappeared.

Ah gotcha.. Finally got it to do it. They come and go depending on the angle you're looking at it. I never noticed that before.

Just musing last night, probably the oldest outstanding piece of default kit never updated, is the marker flags that appear in routes - still read "Rail Simulator" after, what, nearly 4 years of Railworks and now TS2012. Maybe not the most essential of items but perhaps symptomatic of how things are just left on the shelf at this company.

I thought it was quite a valid point, actually? In the time taken to type that response Derek, I'm sure an artist of your calibre could have produced a replacement flag graphic, all ready to submit for the next Steam update.

:) ;)

I'll go back in my kennel now...

Vern does have a point. It is often the small things and attention to them that gives an important indication of what any companies ethos is about.
I will join Vern in the Kennel :D :D

James, thank you for agreeing with Vern, I knew you would.
I also agree. about the small things, but not about the flag, in my opinion the marker flag is what a grain of sand is to the moon.

However lots of other useful discussion in this thread.

regards

Derek

I'd rather the flags were dispensed with altogether - they just get in the way. I find it quite easy to identify when I'm at Paddington, Newcastle, York etc. by the stations standing there :D
