#9 key (map) + something bad happened

Post by jalmar »

Hi

I'm getting something bad happened in all routes, lot's of scenario's ( cannot test them all).
Standard procedures : clear cache + verify local file via steam done at least once a day...

I hope someone knows how to solve this.

Hi Albert,

A bit more information about what you have done since RW was working OK would help us to help you.

What have you installed or changed since RW was last working for you and have you checked a Route or Scenario with RWTools to see what that indicates as a problem, if so what did it say?

Hi Rob,

I did not change anything, that's the weirdest part.
It's a bit random kind of problem. For instance : i started a scenario from a 'save' , hit #9 key and SBHH...
Then a restart of the same scenario two times SBHH after #9. And then everything OK for a couple of minutes.
I was trying to find a topic in the forums on this issue. I know there was one, cannot find it anymore......

This problem exists on ( at least ) Bartstow-Bernardino, Hagen Siegen, Bath Templecombe. Did not try others.

thx for your replay anyway

Hi again,

I remember experiencing a similar problem with the original version of Rail Simulator and found it was down to my P/C not being that powerful, this solution helped me.

I replied in this Thread (to someone with the same problem using RW2, but he did not reply whether it had worked :( ) what I did to overcome the SBHH problem with key 9, worth a try.

Hi Rob,

Just tried to edit the 'display options' to find out this has changed in the 2012 version. I did this a long time ago, at least 1 year, and what you wrote in your above quoted topic was exactly how I remember it.
But : no globe to be found, no edit of these options elsewhere.
I'll see if i can find the manual for this.

thx
Albert
