Err no, sorry.

Eventhough the 8400 is of a newer generation than the x1650, it is aimed even more so at the budget end of the market and it's comparable frame-rate scores in-game are somewhere around 25%-50% LOWER.

I'd avoid buying an 8400, IMHO.

HTH.

I'll second RichyV's statement and add that moving from an ATI card to an nVidia one can, but not always, lead to problems unless you've been very scrupulous about removing the ATI drivers.

Unfortunately upgrading just one component in a PC doesn't always mean you'll see any performance improvement---a faster/better graphics card is of little use if your CPU can't keep it 'fed' with data so what is the full spec of your machine?

In my informal testing, it seems that RW, in it's current state, is CPU driven. I doubt a GC upgrade will make any real difference, and a 8400 is not a performance card, as has been said. Perhaps the update being beta tested will help balance demand a bit better.

AH! but IS it being Beta tested???????????? Lots of people volunteered, and maybe, some were accepted.
Then again , maybe they were not. It has been very quiet since volunteers were asked for. If YOU volunteered, have you heard anything?
I did, and as yet have heard nothing.
Tony.

Sorry, you as in you in general, not you specifically Griphos.
