Is there a web site that lists the introduction dates/time frame use of British rolling stock. Looking to keep my TS2012 to a certain time frame.
Thanks

Freight Dates
I don't recall seeing a timeline anywhere, but there are a number of sites that will give you introduction and withdrawal dates for particular classes - wiki to start with.
What era and where in the UK?

Re: Freight Dates
Some good resource sites for diesel loco's:
http://www.class47.co.uk
http://www.c37lg.co.uk
http://www.sulzerpower.com
Wikipedia is always a good resource
If looking for steam loco withdrawal dates you may need to buy one of the books that lists all loco's and the sheds that they were allocated to.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Freight Dates
After a very quick look at least some of the info is not quite right, for example the AB wagons were allowed to run at 75mph with a reduced load rather than 70mph. Some of the other info seems ok though.

I don't have a location yet but I am looking at around
the 80s early 90s and will begin to narrow this date down after some research.

Re: Freight Dates
Search relevant terms on flickr, usually gives some good results
Re: Freight Dates
Reference photos from your time period are always a good indication of whats around. You can find an absoloute ton of photos on Flickr with many categorised galleries. Fastline do some very nice but cheap wagons form your period and DT have wagon pack 2. Also the BAA/BZA bogie steel wagon from AP is good too. Lots of the diesel locos from Steam also have stock thats the right era too.
This page has a few wagons listed by date used http://www.ltsv.com/w_profiles.php which may be of use.
