May I ask for recommendation: Realistic european (british) diesel (something like Class 86 or 56XX)?
Class 33, Class 50? Something else? (yes, I know about Class 67 from JT and BR 143 from VR but I am asking about current Steam offer)
And in addition maybe any realistic DMU/EMU?
European mainline diesel recommendation?

Re: European mainline diesel recommendation?
Closest realistic Diesel is the Class 57.
For DMU it is the Class 150 & Class 156.
Class 50 im unsure of as i haven't got that (yet) The pendo' is a good unit as well, as is the 170, 380's.
Also suggest the Just Trains Class 153 as the advance verison is to be released at somepoint in the future.

Rising Storm -Name is in the credits
- To Do scenario, where you go along at 50mph in a Pendo? Who would play it?
Anyone want to help in Play Testing future Rising Storm/ Ro2 Maps? If so please PM me.

Not sure the Pendo has been fixed up for RW3 yet? I do like driving the 50, but I have to say that anyway
it is a really atmospheric cab though. The 60 is an old model, but very very good and I like driving that around a lot also - it is a pure freight engine though. On top of the Oovee items I'd tentatively add the 101 to the DMU list; it needs patching to tame it's slightly absurd performance and to sort the rear car engine sounds, so don't bother if you're not confident at editing blueprints.
I think the only EMU on steam that's actually been corrected for RW3 is the 455 which is a really nice looking model, but I prefer driving the freeware ones from the library here.

My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

I really like the 111, both for the suburb cab graphics, and the interesting experience of changing gears.

Re: European mainline diesel recommendation?
The 50 is a cracking drive, though I have no idea on the realism side - just that it's fun.
The 150 and 156 are both excellent DMUs.

Class 57 (OOVEE) Really like this loco with great sounds and delayed response on controls, wheelslip etc.
There is a Railworks 3 Cabfix but no rain effects yet.

I Mean, that should do it?

Re: European mainline diesel recommendation?
How does the Oovee 57 compare with the Meshtools 50, for driving experience and bundled (or readily available) scenarios?

Re: European mainline diesel recommendation?
Thanks for tips, I've just bought Class 57 : )
(and I am still tempting by class 67/class 20 package from JT )
