Hi, I have been wondering, would it be possible to have a Class 489 in Railworks? As I believe it is just a Driving unit, no power - required a Class 73 in Gatwick Express, and I believe that with RW2 at least you couldn't have the driving trailer from the Intercity 225?
Also, (not a RW question though) is a Class 489 a single trailer? pictures I have seen appear to show the Class 489 driving trailer and the rest of the train is Mk 2 coaches?

I think RW3 has push-pull capabilities, I have managed to get the 33/1 to work in push-pull set up with the CIG. Yes the 489s were single cars, they are ex GLVs converted to push pull mode with specially converted MK2s.

I believe that it is now possible to do a proper driving trailer. You have to give it compatible controls with the remote loco, and a very weak "engine" so that it can have a cab.
Previously, the "engine" had to be more powerful since the actual power output of the remote loco was ignored, and the total power derived as a multiple of the driving vehicle. That's the only thing that has now changed.

The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.
