Mouse/pointer accuracy in RW3

It seems to me that RW3 has some inaccuracy when trying to select items in world editor.
This is especially the case when trying to highlight a section of track using the square box in the tools options (sorry don't know what its called)
I often find it difficult to get the yellow square onto the right track - and also it does not seem to like dragging as much as RW2.
Also general object selection seems "looser" than in RW2 so often seem to select the wrong item.
Anyone else notice this?

Hi
It has changed. The sweet spot for selecting track is now where the arrow shaft meets the arrow head on the left hand side. At least it is for me.
I can't believe that made any sense.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Bob
Since when did you make any sense anyway
It certainly is a pain to select anything in TS2012. You point at one track and another is selected and some assets are just impossible to re-select once placed.
I will check out the
where the arrow shaft meets the arrow head on the left hand side and see how that works.

And I've always thought you were such a pleasant chap!
Here. Where the red line ends - I was going to draw an arrow on it, but had a nasty feeling I might end up in some kind of arrow-based vortex. Or a Robin Hood movie...
Might I recommend changing the track properties through a complicated series of double-slips, by way of therapy? It can be
great fun trying to select the last tiny little bit!
Cheers
Bob
[Edit - to correct myself - It might actually be the lower pointy bit of the arrow head. I've normally had my medication by the time I deal with track properties so my memory tends to be a bit iffy on the subject! I suspect I'm also the only person who sets the track wobble value based upon how pretty it looks.

This is an especially soothing pastime when said series of double slips is surrounded by numerous weed and fence lofts!

Hi Bob
Thanks for the explanation, I now see what you are getting at
Selecting the last bit of track to change the properties is THE ultimate challenge. With a wonky pointer, the task must be impossible.
Still, with the track wobble set at 500 ... who cares

You know you love it really.
I've found that it's often quicker to select loads of additional track that you don't actually want in order to finally get the elusive last piece of track, and then go back over the bit's that are now wrong in order to correct them back to the settings they previously had.
Track wobble at 500? Right you are! I presume you have to take your teeth out before you go for a drive on that?
