Everything worked this morning and I have just completed a run along both routes. Its a beautiful effort - and an incredible achievement for an initial RW route. I hope it is further developed. The 'over the Alps' route reminded me in part of the Semmering railway which is a local route I use to go skiing at the resort of the same name - especially the many viaducts and horseshoe curves.

Sadly I was not able to gain the full benefit of the route as my set-up is incapable of meeting the demands of the route and I had to run it in legacy mode - and even then at the lowest settings. In places as the massive amounts of vegetation are loading, my fps (according to FRAPS) fell to 6 - 8 fps and once or twice to 3-4 fps. The average I achieved was about 14 - 16 fps.

There appears to be a problem with the Railworks Austria downloads:

The files are corrupt or incomplete but if you download from the alternate Mirror 1 site (Rapidshare) -

https://rapidshare.com/#!download|622l3 ... 82898B|0|0

https://rapidshare.com/#!download|622l3 ... 82898B|0|0

https://rapidshare.com/#!download|240tl ... 4A6960|0|0

https://rapidshare.com/#!download|446tl ... 6CBBC6|0|0

these files are good.

You also need to install Ice's Icepak - http://www.rail-sim.de/railsimnew/Spezi ... icepak.rar. This should be in the Railworks/Assets folder

and also SAD's Altenburg - Wildau freeware route:

http://www.rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index ... for-ts2012

Once all this has been installed, this is a very pleasing and interesting route.

SAD's revision of Altenburg-Wildau for RW3 (required for Felberpass) is also an amazing treat. Somehow I missed the announcement for it, but it was thrilling to spend a couple of hours last night just taking in parts of it. Quite a work of art with absolutely stunning detail.

I managed to download everything from the Austrian site an hour or so ago. The demand must be slackening - or people have given up. Well worth making the effort for.

Very nice route indeed. But, the toughest yet on my FPS.
