Sorry to sound flippant, Vern, but, surely the end-user should know if he's purchased any payware routes, or, not, it shouldn't take an installer to determine that.bigvern wrote: There must be a way of writing scenarios for other routes and having the installer intelligently determine whether the user has those installed or not. I would much rather have opened up my new Class 50 package to find two or three Carlisle to Glasgow scenarios or a couple on Bristol to Exeter included.
I quite agree with you on your thoughts though, I know that RS.com probably wouldn't create any scenarios for other 3rd party routes that we purchase separately, from say, Just Trains, or, Thomsons, as that could be deemed advertising for us to go and buy their products instead, if you see where I'm going, but, I don't know why our plethora of scenario creators on here haven't submitted scenarios through the UKTS libraries for all of the routes we have now, maybe they are still working on them. I have noticed a marked increase in the number of Payware scenario packs springing up all over the place, which I personally probably won't obtain for a number of reasons.
