Then again, not even all RS.com scenario creators seem to know this, looking at e.g. the 'Trains vs Zombies' scenarios, you see FGW HSTs with only seven intermediate cars, no buffet, three FOs and no TGS
One suspects that with Trains versus Zombies, the realism factor may not have been too far up on the agenda.

Possibly not, but as I said, the same can be seen in other DLC products as well, such as WCML North.

Freightliners were generally pathed later afternoon, but you can always find exceptions. Quieter sections of line would have less restrictive pathing too. It depends on the era too - the main issue with freight clashing paths is not so much their lower top speed but their acceleration. Use of electric locos (and 66s rather than 47s) means it is more likely to be able to path freight in the day than it was.
I'm not sure you can expect absolute timetable accuracy in a DLC sceanrio, but realist formations would be nice. I'm sure we can think of far worse examples than this!
Out of curiosity, do Zombies need Buffet Cars?

Hi all
One thing worth noteing is the video displaying the wagons is just techno music playing. In game there's no axle noise at all. If you listen hard there is a click here and there.I see an AP sound pack soon.

More likely a patch to the AP Wagon Sound Pack. Alternatively you could edit them to point to the AP sounds if you already have the pack.

Think I'd rather eat brains than some of the things you can find in those places.

Not sure that's actually true, you know; just a lot less variety.
If you go to the Freightliner website you'll see the working timetables as and from September 2011, about 60% of trains run throughout the day, i.e. 6am to 6pm. In the 1980's of course, there were nearly 3 times as many Freightliner terminals operating, and associated Dock companies who provided heavy crane container lifting, and 90% of services were long distance, which is what the company was all about, overnight services from ports and docks to cities up and down the country, Coatbridge to Southampton Maritime could take up to 14-15 hours to run, as they had to fit in changes of locomotives from diesel to electric and back to diesel and train crew hours.
Cheerz. Transport Steve.

Thanks Steve for giving me a scenario idea

From the 92/93 WCML North WTT Coatbridge-Southampton took just under 2 1/2hrs to get to Carlisle for the first Crew change, Electric all the way & in daylight - out of Coatbridge at 0705.

Any of you tweaking guru's want to help me out and rip open the PCA blueprint and help me figure out why this wagon is silent? All others work fine. BogieAudio plays, Wagon Sound audio plays.. The PCA's are 100% silent.. They play nothing audio wise.. Blueprint shows everything with bogieaudio, and the child object for the wagons sounds is 100% identical to the other wagons. They just refuse to play... Unless it's a geometry screw up..

Quoting myself!
Figured it out.
DT left a file in /DT/DT_WagonPack2/ called source.bin Which is a incomplete blueprint for the PCA wagon. No bogie audio, no wagon sounds. Delete it.. It's overriding the real PCA blueprint in /DT_PCA_Cement_Wagon/
That's going to be a fun problem if any scenarios are created that use the PCA.. DT need to remove that blueprint.

I've purchased these this evening and see that a manual is included. I presume the download has been revised to include it.
I also see there's a new item in the free downloads area of the DT site - a variant of the OTA timber wagon. Not sure if it requires the full wagon pack to work, or if it's a stand alone item.

Well spotted. The OTA is one of those wagons that were based on several different source vehicles, so there were a few differences across the fleet.
