I apologise for starting a new thread on this because I vaguely recall the matter being raised shortly after RW3 was released but with 90 pages to search needle in haystack springs to mind.
I'm running 'Legacy' superbly - all settings at 'HIGH' with no problems; locked at 60 fps and only the occasional stutter, presumably at the dreaded (and yet to be sorted) tile boundaries.
When TSX is selected, all I get is a grey washout with objects just discernable.
I'm using an ATi Radeon card.
Was there a solution and if so, what?
Many thanks

Re: Monochrome under TSX
The important thing is, *which* Radeon? The Radeon name has been in use since before the pixel-shader era. (I still have one of the originals in working order.)
I'm going to hazard a guess that you have an X1000 series card. These don't support a particular image format used by TSX for the intermediate buffer, resulting in the effect you describe when TSX is turned on.

No, it's an all singing, all dancing 6970 powered by an i5-2500K; 4GB RAM and Windows7 64bit.
As, I mentioned - perfect performance in 'legacy'; activate TSX and just varying shades of grey.

Re: Monochrome under TSX
I use the same card at home and don't see this problem.
Make sure you have the latest drivers and that all settings under ATI's control panel are set to "application default". Also, post a screenshot of what you're seeing - might help determine what's gone wrong.
Thanks,
Ben

I had something like that when RW 3 first came out, and after 3 verifies (to get 0 files missing) it was fixed
I've been to Eastbourne too, So what!

Re: Monochrome under TSX
Aha, if you have anti-aliasing forced on then this could happen. The anti-aliased buffer looks like a different image format which then doesn't match the specialised post-processing filter, leading to the same problem as the old X1000 cards.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.
Re: Monochrome under TSX
Many thanks - problem solved. I set anti-aliasing to 'application' and the colour has returned.
