Hi Mate I am running W7 64bit with the same card as you and have had no problems at all with it. Maybe you still have your creative drivers installed? M

funny you should say... im getting the xonar d2 (PCI version) at 1pm tomorrow.
How about I get back to you on it as pretty much all of the people I have spoken to have gave it great reviews. The only downside is that it only runs on EAX 2.0 which is not the latest, however I cannot tell the difference on my mates test rig.

Hi djellis,
I think this problem has been raised before!
I have an Asus Xonar DS sound card; you must make sure that the GX mode is NOT selected - ie on mine, the GX button must not be green.
Cheers,
Ged

I have the same card with non of your problems? as has been stated before you can't start TS2012 with GX enabled which is an EAX kinda sorta emulator! My TS2012 just crashes with this enabled, I can enable it in game but it has no effect. Saying that though the 3D placement in-game is spot on with it off.

Hello there djellis,
I have one too, and play with "GX" mode off since problems were reported.
Only thing I'd say about an otherwise great card is that the drivers that come with it may well be out of date, hop online and get the latest drivers from Asus.
Cheers,
Shad.

Hello,
For Windows 7 64-bit I've got 7.12.8.1792 installed but just spotted that 7.12.8.1794 is out, so I'll install them later.
Hope that helps,
Shad.

Hi djellis,
were do find this GX mode to see if the GX button is not green.
Open up Windows Control Panel, then double click the Xonar entry and you'll get the Audio Center.
Cheers,
Ged

Hi djellis,
You should be fine with the driver you have, since they are the latest version. I meant that I had not noticed they had been updated, so I'll be installing the same version as you have soon.
As for EAX, or GX as it's called in the control panel. Ged and Smarty2 have said to leave it turned off and I agree with them. By all means try it, but you could start getting odd things happening in Railworks.
Good luck,
Shad.
