The steam screenshots have never worked for me

I have never even used it. Before the advent of the in built screenshot function, I used to use Fraps to capture multiple screenshots. Then the function was introduced which allowed me to just press "Ctrl-S" and have used that ever since without issue.

Steam client -> settings -> ingame, check is actually set to the key and ingame community bit is toggled on, won't work otherwise.
Game Library -> TS2012 -> right click -> properties -> general -> Enable steam community ingame

If neither of those work(screenshot function is a community tool, as it uploads afterward to steam cloud) then your steam install might have gone abit after the client updates recently.

I would echo this comment. The only reason I use anything other than Ctrl+S is if I need the screenshot to show OSD elements like the HUD or asset selection boxes in the world editor.

The almost fortnightly threads full of people ignoring this perfectly functional tool astound me! Really, what's so complex about using a simple control that doesn't require any copy/paste routine or installing extra programs and even saves them in a near-lossless format?
