Very strange!!!

I have to ask to see if any one have the same problem or just me. I had no problem to start up the program of RailWorks 3 Train Simulator 2012 and be able to simulate the route, Barstow to San Bernardo (Cajon Pass) with the leading locomotive UP AC4400. After a few minutes of simulating this route and all of sudden the train stop also you can see the monitor (LCD) flickering. I am not sure what caused this or what is the actual problem of this? So I have to end this simulation by ALT + DEL to get out of the program. Is anyone else experience the same problem or just me.
Thank you,
John

Sounds like a classic case of overheating.

I think Bill (styckx) is usually the first to tell anybody to keep the inside of their pc clean, especially the fans and it makes a big difference with heavy resource programs.

It can happen even with a clean PC. If the cooling is inadequate and its an onboard card, or lower lower end and the GPU is just being maxed out. Cooling just can't keep up with the workload.
Could also simply be a driver issue and it's dividing by zero.

Well I did clean my PC with Memorex Air Duster before run this program this morning ( my time zone in Canada ). Guess that doesn't help with this. Must be something else who knows what?? Hopefully the team of RailWorks 3 Train Simulator 2012 will be able to figure out with this.
Thank you again,
John

But if it is indeed your system not coping, how can they help you with that?
What are your system specs?

Ok my problem is that my laptop is overheating. Have to get myself a cooling pad to keep the laptop from overheating.
Thank you,
John

There's your problem. Laptops are not supported by RS.com because in general they don't have enough grunt to run the program properly due to the very small number of laptops on the market that have decent graphics processors using dedicated RAM, some of the ones sold by Dell under their Alienware brand being exceptions.
