Im trying to create a scenario on the Oxford to paddington route with a 153. After stopping at Oxford I want to head to Didcot running behind a stopping train. I have no errors in the scenario but yet when I try to run the scenario thats all happens is the stopping train just crawls.
Any advice?

It is one of the new features.

It is an issue that Derek asked for details to be emailed to RS.Com so you can conclude from that it is a bug they intend to fix.

Is this happening when you go directly from the scenario editor to play the scenario ? If so does it also do it if you start the scenario from the route menu ?

Hi John Just tried loading it up in game and its still crawling. Once or twice it has shot forward at quite some speed and then stopped and crawled again. Not sure what details I can provide other than that its crawling really.

Yes and no in my case. If I create or amend a scenario, then click the "play" button, I get 10 seconds or so or normality, then one AI service freezes (I can see it happen) - if I exit out, then re-start, 9/10 it'll work normally. This is with default stock too (though on my own route). It also seems to effect the signalling - seemingly unaffected trains then stop at clear signals.
I mailed RSC this morning with details, but understandably, I guess they're quite busy at the min!

Hi,
We are interested in a repro of this, if you get one and using core assets on core routes (so it i seasy for the code team to test) please do email support with a rwp of the scenario alonmg with the details of the service it effects and any other details you wish to add.
best regards
Derek

No problem, I shall give it a go on a default route over the next day or so.

Id RS still interested in crawling AI reports? I've just had one on one of the default newcastle-York scenarios, where I got stuck behind the 1V71 Edinburgh-Bristol service. I waited 20 mins or so, then the scenario ended with AI collision.
I'm just about to fire it up again to see if I can repeat this. I'll try and take some timing notes.

As it's a default scenario I would definitely report this to RS if you can replicate the issue

It is reproducible, sort of. This is the Evening Express activity on the Newcastle-York route. Here are rough details if anyone else wants to have a go reproducing it.
1st attempt, got held around Tyne yard by crawling AI service 1V71, activity stopped at 18:04 by AI collision involving 1S22;
2nd attempt, not held up this time, but activity ended at 18:04 with AI collision involving 1S22 at distance marker 53;
3rd attempt, held around Tyne Yard around 17:54 by 1V71 as in 1, activity ended at 18:04 with AI collision between 1E48 and 1S22.
It seems like the AI collision is pretty much baked into this scenario, although the crawling AI seems a bit more of a random fault. Anyway, I'll email RS tomorrow with as much detail as I can. Is the correct email
support@railsimulator.com? I've used that address on another matter, but had no reply, so I'm not sure if my email was received or not.
As an aside, I'm well impressed with the scenery on that route, especially the entrance and exit to Newcastle Station. Crossing the Tyne and the route out after that are superb IMO.

I can confirm that "Evening Express" is broken as you describe. Even after editing (during which I found and excised some Final Destination instructions for AI trains in the same location as the previous Stop At), it behaves similarly.
I've also managed to set up a much simpler scenario which, while it doesn't trigger "crawling AI", does demonstrate the inconsistency between starting from the editor and starting from the menu. It manages to do this using only two moving trains and one static consist. I've sent that to
support@railsimulator.com.

I've also replied to another thread about this.
The routes I've been testing (with the appropriate assets/trains that are used in the original scenario's):
Barstow to San Bernardino
Hagen to Siegen
Oxford to Paddington
In those routes I've made my own scenario of only two trains (one player and one AI) with really simple destination instruction and no special commands like refuelling or loading or picking up passengers.
a really simple scenario of just getting from point a to point b really.
When there is only one train in the entire scenario then all is in order and functions perfectly.
As soon as even one AI train is added, even at the other end of the entire route, then the AI train will simply stop at the first signal (also green light)
I've checked pathing and checked that the track direction is in order and such.
I must be very careful of course with what I'm saying, but I think it behaves this way in all of the routes currently available for RW3.
I really hope that Kromaatikse or any other person can confirm what I'm stating here or perhaps it is just me.
If it is just me then I will delete RW3 and try to download the whole RW3 via steam again.
I forgot to mention: I do regularly, once every day, a game cache integrity check via Steam.
I had RW2 before and upgraded to RW3 and don't have a standalone RW3. I don't know if this is important to mention but I thought I just say so.
Anyway, I've read most advice how to tune the graphics and I must say I'm very satisfied currently, very nice lighting and looks of the 'new' 47 is very nice indeed.

Thank You for escalating this one to RSC on behalf of the UKTS community.

This may be a rare, happy exception, but I've just managed to finish the RSC default 'Evening Express' N-Y default scenario without a hitch. After passing the Edinburgh-Bristol train at Darlington, it was plain sailing pretty much. When it works, it's a nice scenario for showcasing late afternoon TXS effects, including some rainy spells.
