Well I don't think core assets include the 421/455/JT20/VGA/33/156/UKTSFP rolling stock on the PD route etc etc will be explored will it? Not that that will make any difference to the problems we are encountering even if core assets were used.RSderek wrote:Hi,
Any example of Crawling AI (using core assets/routes) please send an rwp to support, along with details of scenario and the when/where which service etc.

I'd think that issues affecting RSC DLC would be investigated as well, though perhaps on a lower priority than core content. DLC from other supplers would need to be reported directly to them I imagine

Re: RW3 AI / scenario / timetabling issues.
I've sent in a couple of small custom scenarios which do demonstrate problems with the AI, and also highlight the difference between starting a scenario from the editor and starting it from the main menu.
So far I haven't been able to trigger the crawling-AI bug when starting from the main menu using my own scenarios and only default content. I suspect however that the discrepancy between editor start and menu start is relevant.
I've also discovered from a separate thread that "Evening Express" shows the crawling-AI problem despite being a Kuju-era default scenario. This retained the problem even after editing in RW3, which switches it to the new Dispatcher instead of the legacy-mode one. I've reported this fact to RSC, so they should be aware of it for testing.

The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

Yes? That's a thread about the uncoupling bug, which was fixed by RSC and has nothing to do with the scenario issues described here.dean1986 wrote:http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 4&t=118742

when in the editor, how can you exit to the main menu without using the "play" button? is there a keyboard shortcut i dont know about?

Hi, you are right. when I say 'core', I also mean DLC that is sold via steam.

I always use windowed mode when editing rather than full screen mode, then you can use the exit button in the top right hand corner.nips_uk wrote:when in the editor, how can you exit to the main menu without using the "play" button? is there a keyboard shortcut i dont know about?

Re: RW3 AI / scenario / timetabling issues.
I had a strange occurrence this morning in a timetabled scenario I made for Oxford-Paddington.
Player loco is a Class101 from Paddington that catches up a slow passenger train after Ealing, and follows it on Yellows.
I was 5 minutes late leaving Paddington, I saw the tube trains running normally and a DMU arriving on time.
Set off and went straight past the train I was supposed to follow which hadn't moved.
Restarted the scenario, left Paddington on time and caught up with the slow train at the normal place.
The trains around Paddington had the same start time as Player Train, the slow train was timed to start later.
I'll have to try it again this evening to see if it is repeatable.
