Would you be so good to check to see if the Multi Core tick box stays enabled when TS is reloaded please? Would like someone else to test this.

Split from main FAQ sticky to keep that tidy. If somebody can confirm we can add it to the sticky.

If we don't have confirmation by the time I get home later I will check it myself.

Like other command line options it is only applied until you close it. The next time you start it up it is requires re selecting unless you were to add it to the .exe statup options .

Be aware there are early reports from some users - me included - that ticking the box actually reduces performance. Whether that's the framerate counter simply playing up, meaning there's some kind of placebo effect taking place, I don't know.

Maybe it means multicore disabled?

I was getting 90% utilisation over four cores on both the old and the new TSX engine, so I would say this is not the case. Perhaps more cores are creating more contention over thread synchronisation locks, and thus reducing performance? Pure speculation.

When I tick the Multi Core Option, it is so powerful that 3 of my 4 CPU cores are at 100%, but it seems to me too that the FPS and stutting is more present in the game.
Investigating more...
PS, I use a small gadget named Multi Meter 4 Cores v 2.0 to monitor the cores.

I am getting a similar result, multicore ticked maxes out 3 processors with a lower fps than multicore unticked which runs 2 processors at about 80% but with seemingly higher fps ??
Multicore is still ticked when I exit TS2012 but when I restart the settings window it reverts to unticked.
