If it's doing ok for me with intel integrated graphics, you'll do far better :p. Thanks for the tip, guys!

I had to turn stencil shadows and ordinary shadows off in RW2 to get a reasonable performance too :D

Perhaps the technology is a bit too advanced for the hardware that most people have.

Hi Theokus, I am merely saying for people who cannot run the TSX engine on low end machines, like me. if you could run it 100%, please do, and enjoy it :D

Just a quick post to say thank you to RSC for this update. I have a fairly low spec machine and the crispness of the scenery is much better. This really is a very good update. I'm still trying to get superelevation to work but that can wait until the documents are available.

I'm finding I'm having to run TS2012 using TSX but without depth of field. Framerates are passable.
Regards.

I am not. And i don't have integrated graphics, but a radeon hd3870... And as i wrote neither the shadows off performance isn't so good as i expect from graphics like this. Of course it looks good but not as good as it's performance impact.

This technology is from around 2006 if you watch other games, so the technology isn't so advanced, but the unoptimization of it is :D

Railworks graphics Q&A team recommended setting chart, I don't quite agree with it, and I also can't see to window mode anything above 1027x798, but there you have it from RS.com:

Ok peeps, 8 Easy steps to stop 100% cpu useage...

Found a workaround for the issue about " multi-core " function. As some users have reported when this is ticked your cpu usage sits at 100% on 2 or more cores.
I've just found a possible way around this:-

1st " Tick the multi-core function " and start TS2012.
2nd When the menu screen appers leave it open and return to your desktop.
3rd Open task manager on the " Performance page " and you will see that your CPU useage has hit 100% on 2-6 of your cores. ( No of cores depends on your system)
4th Now open to the Processes page and at the top you should see " RailworksProc2.exe *32 ".
5th Near the bottom of this page you will see a button that says " Show processes from all users ", click on this! and the page will refresh showing you all the programs currently running.
6th Now, RIGHT CLICK on " RailworksProc2.exe *32 " and you will see another menu pop up. LEFT CLICK on " set affinity... ".
7th Ok nearly there, all your cores should already have blue ticks in the boxes! Just un-tick 1 box that " RailworksProc2.exe *32 " is using and hit OK. check " task manager " again,
Your cpu usage should now have dropped from 100% to a normal level over all your cores.
8th Ok last step... RIGHT CLICK on " RailworksProc2.exe *32 " and you will see another menu pop up. LEFT CLICK on " set affinity... " again and now select <All Processors> and hit OK.

It works Fine for me and i'm now getting >200fps on my setup and the cpu temps have dropped too.
Hope this helps and makes sense to you all and remember THIS ONLY WORKS FOR USERS WITH MULTI-CORE SYSTEMS..
P.S Dont blame me for anything that you do to your own system, its up to you!!! :argue:

Cheers Mick.

Oh and dont forget to enable the " use more that 2gb address " memory issue...

Yes, I'm not sure it quite makes sense - nobody should run full screen? I'm not aware that an HD 4600 even exists either (its not on Wikipedia's list of ATI/AMD GPUs). I guess my 3650 is about the same power as the 5450, but I will have to wait 'till I get home to try out the new version.

You know the launcher has 2 options (places) for full screen (or not).
