After consulting with my beta team, I've decided to release this in stages/phases. This is phase 1! You'll find the route and a free roam in this pack to get you started.
I'm also pleased to announce the release of the first two locomotives for the route! The rest will be released in time!
Thank you Stephen!

So enjoy this over the weekend and I hope to start releasing some more stuff next week!
It just remains for me to thank
ALL who've helped with this project(you know who you are!). And thanks to
ALL who've commented on the route over the last couple of years. It's really been encouraging!!
Please use this thread to highlight any issues and either myself or one of the beta team will try our best to help.
All the best to you all.
Regards
Matt(92212)

Very many congratulations Matt.
Brilliant route, stock and scenarios. Payware quality without a doubt.
It'll be a dream to experience it in RW3.

Brilliant route, I wish I still had the game to play it!

Thankyou, Matt, and the rest of the team who have put in such a massive effort into making it as good as it can, within the limitations of the game.

Also, the above shots show what I think is the best preserved black 5 recreations I have seen so far, so big well done Stephen.
Kind regards
Chris

Truly well done Matt!! A fantastic job, with scenes that are very recognisable with the real thing. One of those routes that is a "Must Have!" Waiting very much in eagerness for this!
Kind Regards
Pete

Hello folks,
I've been working with Matt for a shortwhile on the beta team and honestly its been hard to keep typing fingers quiet aswell as not reveal to much so you don't know everything via screenshots. I can personally say, casting aside my beta tester position that this route for a steam fan is a
must have to forfill a preserved steam railway experience in Railworks.
What are you being treated to?
- I pretty close digital copy of the GCR in Railworks were most if not all bells and whistles associated with the lines.
- A shed load (pun intended) of steam locomotive stock with new reskins and close to possible real life soundsets and featuring on most locomotives Matt's new valve change of the sound to stimulate the working of the locomotive and pretty true to life thrashing.
- Interesting scenarios which incorperate the rolling stock and locations on the GCR
- A utter shedload of fun.
From the sound the black 5s, to the 8Fs and even to the smaller fella of the N2 your going to have a wide varient of steam traction to ride on GCR, we won't blame you if you exceed 25mph on the route to really thrash the locomotives out, us beta testers certainly did.
I would personally like to thank Matt for approaching me and the others to help test the route aswell as contribute where we could to get this to a final release available to the rest of you, its been a long trip and I'm sure its been fun and hard at many times, but in the end its been one hell of a experience and a great deal of satisification to get this done, so I tip my hat to you good sirs.
Please do ensure you grab all the asset files for GCR as they really do complete the route as a whole and you won't end up like me finding no water tower for the Hall because you didn't install the asset pack
So here is to a project well done and hope everyone enjoys it, I know I have and I'm sure the rest of the beta testers did aswell, if we missed any bugs or issues, then we'll slap our hand but were only human in the end

Well the lines passed for 60mph running... as long as its with a test train...
Maybe a class 37 on HST coaches could count?
Could I maybe make a small suggestion?
How about D5830 in it's current "golden ochre" livery?

Passed for more than 25 for normal trains, I thought. ( 35? 45? one of the two ).
Well done on getting this out, Matt.

Sounds interesting - as a side "Discovery Shed" has been running, this past week, in the afternoons, a programme called "Central Steam", yes you`ve guessed where it`s based. Will look forward to the route and compare it (having saved the programmes for later viewing !!)

I am a little puzzlicated: do I need to install the map RWP file, too?
