Stuttering, however, I would say is characterised when a tile needs to load a whole load of assets and the game actually pauses - momentarily - while it does so.

As for the route, I have no interest in American railways but this is a must-buy for me, simply because I had an ear to ear grin the first time I drove it in MSTS all those years ago. Disappointed - but not remotely surprised - the Acela doesn't come with it.

My abiding memory of the MSTS version is taking a corner at well below line speed and still derailing...

Am I right in thinking the AEM7 loco is actually derived from a European prototype, in which case it gives the reskinners some options.

It looks impressive, not my cup of tea but its looks like a huge amount of work has gone into it with great attention to detail.

The improved physics, superelevation and lighting are key to RW taking off in the US, and I can see there being quite a push to expand in that market.

It is derived from the Swedish Rc4. Although it looks too different to really make convincing reskins.

Flipping it back the other way, reskins of the DB101 could make very plausible Bombardier/AdTranz ALP-46/46A electric locos as used by NJT. It seems that an interesting variety of European rail design makes it into the north-east USA, what with the Swedish-designed AEM-7, the TGV-influenced Acela and the NJT locos influenced by the DB101 and TRAXX locos.

Excuse me for being thick or blind, but what is the " Modeller's Asset Pack"?

I imagine it is just the Asset Pack 01 that was released a while ago, but included in the package.

I'm very tempted but with it being an 'across the pond' route I may leave it just for now. The screenshots are looking quite impressive all the same.

It's not that clear from the product page, but am I right in thinking that there are only 4 standard scenarios included (and 4 free roams + 0 career)?

Aha! You're correct

Just sifting through my .pi files and the "APStation Pack" is called Modeller Asset Pack01 & the associated pack on Steam is called "UK Buildings Model Pack" - Confusing or what?

Quite what UK based buildings are doing on a US route, I'm not sure but anyhow, at least that little query is cleared up now.

There aren't just buildings included in the pack, there are things like inspection pits and platforms, retaining walls and a multitude of filler blocks in various shapes and sizes that are not UK specific
